If people do it properly like what Gimble and his mates are proposing it could be good, but the idea of "yeah we like esports this will work" is a dillusion, and people are naive to believe it can only be good.

And you say "do it properly like what Gimble and his mates are proposing" all gimble has actually done is said "Yea probs going to make a house myself". Where as Elevean has put months of planning and effort into something that is very soon becoming real. I'm sorry but every time you post you make it sound like your against the progression of SC2 in the UK. And let's just say it all goes tit's up, at least they tried, rather than sitting on forum trying to poke holes in other peoples attempts at helping the UK scene progress.

To be fair, Gimble isn't pursuing any form of house atm, and is going to be dealing with some of his own commitments for the foreseeable future. Of course, seeing as you seem to be in full control of all the facts, there's no need for me to inform you of this, right? We can try, and we very well might fail, We can try and we might succeed.. or we can sit on TL and bash everything because of our own perceived contradictions/imperfections.

Our initial reactions were EXTREMELY pissed off for the reasons seen and that Leon picked up on. However, credit to Dan while he originally said "going away see you next week!" kind of leaving us, we were still able to contact him, and I know I personally exchanged several emails with him yesterday evening. Am I still annoyed about the way he left it, despite rectifying it in part afterwards? Yes, it was unproffessional and rude. Am I still upset/disappointed about the very blunt ending to something that had been building up for a long time? Yes, extremely so. HOWEVER Dan did not go into radio silence, he replied and gave reasons. Whether I (or others) disagree with the reasons various people (and some were for different reasons) were "cut", I don't personally hold a grudge. I HOPE it's successful, and I hope it goes well. If it goes badly, it simply sets esports in the UK back a step. If it goes well it can really accelerate it, and I wish the players heading down there all the best. Leon has brought up both good and bad/incorrect points, and I won't go into them. I do feel the people badmouthing him in this thread are over the line though. His reaction is similar to mine and GimbleB's initial reactions. Some of his points stand true even with Dan's approach to resolving how he handled the situation, in my opinion at least. either way, best of luck to the house. I hope it's successful if nothing else for the UK! And because it has some cool guys in it.

The only complaint anyone had was GimbleB, which he has now taken back due to it all simply being some miss-communication. Yet you still seem to be trying to make up some problems that don't even exist? At the moment I'm a high Silver, but I'm damn sure getting my ass to Masters, and wouldn't mind coming down with a couple of cases of Brewskies, and enjoying SC II and hopefully learning some extra things from you guys, would be pretty awesome indeed. And as I play on me laptop makes it good for mobileness... Spawn.921 Dude I'll join you. I'm up for visiting this house when it's all up n' running - bring some beers and play some SC2. If that's okay with Eleaven
