Same database, other filters, other stylesheets. Overlapping content besides the SC and Dota sections. Your post in the games of thrones thread in liquiddota should show up on tl.net as wel.
This would be perfect

I was thinking just this! I also think liquiddota should show the general section of teamliquid's main site. That way I don't have to hop back to TL for those!

Excellent. I really like the change. SC2 is dead game now and TL are defiantly going in the right direction. Just hope admins aren't that Nazi on this site, so the community could grow.

I'm used to it, but the Dota icons for "Community News" on the front page is pretty redundant given that Liquiddota is its own site now. Changing it to color coded boxes depending on the type of news might be better (blue box for interviews, TI icon for TI stuff, etc., for example). Same thing for LiquidHearth too. Would be nice if TL showed big news/announcements on the front page with the appropriate game icons so people who follow multiple games can don't have to go around for that information.

So I've asked in about 3 threads, once on this site, a few times on TL and PM'd a mod/staff who said they would expand on the reasoning as to why there is no anti-spoiler on this site. Can someone please explain that?

This might be a decent way to go about it, we tried putting tournament icons there to be specific but it was really gross looking.

Hmmm, I like the way TL is doing mini-pages for all the games, but still, I liked it more when it was all in one, it was easier ;;
Still, good to see this, at least now we get more dota news than before

Can someone please explain that? Sorry about not responding sooner. Basically, LiquidDota is not going to have a spoiler system.
Historically, TL had a spoiler system in place because of how we followed / covered Brood War progaming. In the early days, pro-BW streams and VODs were difficult to get a hold of, and games were often played at times that were not great for regular EU/NA audience.
However, Dota 2 is a different beast. We have so much content being broadcast on a daily basis that we felt a spoiler system simply wasn't feasible for us as a news site. While we understand that a few people may like the spoiler system, we feel that the majority of our readers prefer live updates from a Dota 2 progaming news site like ours, and thus felt that this trade-off was warranted.
So I guess in future, if you don't want to be spoiled, you should watch the games first before visiting LD! :D

I'm still going to teamliquid before going to liquiddota T_T

Alright thanks for the response. Not going to lie to you, personally I absolutely hate that just because of the hours I work but oh well thats my problem.
+ it was the best feature ever on any site.

I'm very excited about this! Even if I only ever lurked on teamliquid.net, I did appreciate it when I recognized people in the forums. I did, to an extent, leave the hub due to this becoming an increasingly rare event. Not that I was ever a noticeable presence.
I hope I can learn a little about the people behind the posts on these forums. For me, it adds a lot to the experience.

I dont really like this decision, I've been on TL since 2008 and came to it exclusively for BW, unfortunately when SC2 came out I played it for 5-6 months then quit, by then getting back into playing BW would take too much work and I was kinda left in a limbo for a while not doing anything but being angry at Blizzard for sabotaging the BW scene. If Valve hadn't have released dota 2 I would have given up on esports altogether...
I was ecstatic when TL picked up Dota 2 because here we finally had a worthy successor to BW and with the filter option I never had to look at SC2 ever again. Most of the people that followed BW (not making money off of SC2) switched to dota or lol, moving Dota 2 to a new site just sends a lot of veterans off of TL.net
The only good that can come from this is that finally Blizzard games can stop being rammed down our throats or that we can at least get away from all the plugging.
edit: Anyway I like how the site is looking and I know that the new features being added in will be up to the high quality TL standard. I was actually surprised the banner doesn't have the kotl horses, it just seems so right
