Not having dota content buried under all the other stuff, having all the dota events on the RHS, much cleaner website, hero/team icons, etc... I find myself coming to this website more often and enjoying it more.

I'm doing a school project on Dota 2, would love some responses on this survey to flesh ot some data. https://docs.google.com/forms/d/1prl5pWYRFUXRW5s4uuUecmEg23vaAUWGs7LqBVcS864/viewform?usp=send_form Thanks! User was warned for this post

Historically, TL had a spoiler system in place because of how we followed / covered Brood War progaming. In the early days, pro-BW streams and VODs were difficult to get a hold of, and games were often played at times that were not great for regular EU/NA audience. However, Dota 2 is a different beast. We have so much content being broadcast on a daily basis that we felt a spoiler system simply wasn't feasible for us as a news site. While we understand that a few people may like the spoiler system, we feel that the majority of our readers prefer live updates from a Dota 2 progaming news site like ours, and thus felt that this trade-off was warranted. So I guess in future, if you don't want to be spoiled, you should watch the games first before visiting LD! :D When I first read about there being no spoilers, I thought it meant no spoiler tags lol

Not to mention anyone who desperately wants the results can either go to the liquipedia results part RIGHT on every TL page? the people who have watched the game dont need a recap of what they just saw first hand, who are u writing that article for? The people who havnt watched the game but dont care about the game enough to actually watch it? I wouldnt even mind if the article was more in depth went into picks/bans overall game plan why they did this why was this a bad move, instead its basically a overall play by play. Also having the spoiler function is just providing the OPTION to people, people who dont care about it dont have to use it. Where is the downside from having it? If its bothersome to code or something, cant it be on the to do list.

I don't really follow dota 2 at all so being spoilered on the NA qualifier (what I just came here for) isn't actually a big deal. But I don't inherently see why a "hide spoiler" function couldn't just delay anything posted as featured news for like 24 or 48 hours for those who have the option selected. Though I don't know how the hide spoiler option for the general site worked; I feel like that is how it maybe works but I only looked for 5 seconds and found a 2012 thread where Plexa posted that the hide spoiler should be changed to a fixed time delay, which seems to imply it worked somehow else (article submitter checking "spoiler friendly" or something?) I didn't find a thread on when the hide spoiler option was introduced (just threads like "no spoiler functionality" or similar titles with nothing on how it functioned). ninja edit: huh imbedded links don't seem very visible ('2012 thread' and 'Plexa posted') anyways, look forward to all of liquid dota's success!

Hope it gets changed. Could you explain why you feel it is useless? Important streams are attached to events, and prominent player/organisations are featured. If you feel that certain other players or organisations should be featured as well, feel free to suggest them and we'll consider them.

edit: I mean the non-featured streams on TL.net really feel like a community thing, whereas here it's just a collection of Dota streams. I feel it lacks the community aspect. If I look on TL.net in the non featured Starcraft section there are only streams from TL community members. Maybe it's supposed to be different here but I don't like it. If I want all the Dota2 streams I can head over to twitch.tv.
