Sacrifice has good reasons for any number of skill points: 1 skill point = ability to depush the lane 2 skill points = twice the mana of 1 skill point = ability to spam Frost Blasts 3 skill points = conveniently comes off cooldown once per creep wave 4 skill points = since mana production scales quadraticly with skill points, biggest value point.
HOWEVER, the extra mana from the 4th point in sacrifice isn't necessary until you start casting frost armor, so the 4-0-4-1 build should be adjusted; EQQEQRQEWE is the most sacrifice-heavy build that's reasonable.
Also, frost armor's description - "It works best on melee heroes and 50% on range" - I don't think this is correct.

Yeah, I saw that too but wasn't ready to make the commitment. I check Sven when 6.86 launched and thought of HotD but was uncomfortable with the lower attack speed and larger build-up.
Also saw the 2-3 points stormbolt, seems like a timing thing, no?

Thanks, I'll update it now.

Yeah it may be a timing thing for Sven, but I think 3 stormbolt is probably going to do better than 4 for most cases.
With 3 Stormbolt you can be 3-2-4-2 at 11 which I think it pretty useful. It means you hit max cleave right as you hit a nice progression timing (2nd level ult + hopefully some major items by this point) plus have the 2nd point in Warcry which is a big bonus (doubles the armor you get compared to rank 1). If you go 4 stormbolt you need to either pick 4-1-4 or 4-2-3 both of which have drawbacks.
Like I think you really want 3-2-0 right out of the gate, the 10 armor early is huge and it gives you the ability to be involved if the game has opportunities for it or if you are pressured. But then if you push cleave all the way off until level 8 I think you are missing out on farming potential if you don't get the XP through kills. Plus that way you get level 2 cleave for the large XP hump of 8->9.
I can see if you go a build like MoM + blink you may want 4 stormbolt because the timing is different and your fight involvement early would be more about burst Fights with stormbolt + MoM + Ult.

I'll try Sven out in the coming week.
I just played a shitton of Doom and Enchantress and they are just batshit insanely good.

I really think you shouldnt max stormbolt at all. Look at most pro players/higher mmr and their build too. The standard is to keep 1 in stormbolt until you have to max it. (aka cant put in stats no more)
The ideal is to level 1 stormbolt, level 2 war cry, level 3 cleave, then you transition between cleave and warcry maxing them up until you run out then put in stats. Obviously put points in gods strength whenever you can too.
This is especially effective these days as its quite easy to both pull and stack the safelane large camps allowing sven to clear them easily after farming an entire wave quickly too.

1 storm bolt makes Sven useless until he gets a major damage item which is a huge liability for your team and a big waste of Sven's ability to be dangerous at all points in the game. You need 2 or 3 ranks to have good lane presence and not get run over. Plus you don't want cleave that early anyways (you want cleave around treads + axe + part or all of hotd so you can flash clear the jungle and lane).
I really like the 3 bolt, 2 war cry max cleave build. I'm going to run it more and play Sven more to test it out, but it's pretty good. It makes clearing jungle pre-11 easy and your farm just explodes as you get hotd and sny.

Apparently there's an error in the Invoker build where you can't level Wex where the guide states that you should/can. Anyone know where? Not at home to test unfortunately.

It worked fine for me, maybe someone misclicked on a level up then the recommended was out of sync.
(I tested it in the Hero Demo mode, it's possible I misclicked on a level-up, but I don't think so)

But the guide says to level it on 13 and the Invoker is only 12?
It looks like in that screen shot it's not counting the free rank of invoke so the suggested ability gets screwed up? Like you are supposed to put a point in invoke at 12 (which that Invoker is), but it's considering it done because of the free invoke rank.
That explains why it worked for me, the guides didn't load in demo mode so I followed it as written which meant I took a 2nd rank of invoke at 12 (1+1 free).

Thoughts on Drums for Spectre before Radiance? I realize in the past I was too stubborn to not make it core, but even with Phase, I find Spectre still slow and farming jungle is rough.

i usually find phase/treads + urn + aquila + iron talon to be enough
urn is really good if you get rolling with early kills with haunt
