It's a shame that valve doesn't put just a little more effort into the guide making since you're basically making their game easier to access for newer players.

Oh I mean I'd guess/hope that they're planning to make changes to the guide system that mean they aren't making "make the current system not suck" a priority decent chance of that being wishful thinking though

Simply wanting to add a new tab means I have:
I think they're overall very satisfied with the hero builds. As a whole, they work, but I would say the issues that have arisen (straight-up killing the system) have made everyone quit (especially since there's no real incentive to do it). Right now, I would say doing the hero builds takes about 1 to 3 hours of my day every day (mornings). For major changes [like the previous guide changes made earlier this week], it takes about 6 to 7 hours and then whatever subsequent feedback I get (so another 2 hours every day for a few days). and then as you know, new patches is a 12 to 30 hour (total) marathon. Build testing not included because it's not surprise that I simply can't do it as efficiently as I would like.

A small note that it's easier and faster to find your build from the Steam Workshop page. If you're a guide creator, a "Click here to edit this build on Dota2.com" link appears in your own guides. This is much faster than paging through the DotA 2 Steam Cloud interface.

Ah yeah, I do that already, I totally forgot about it when explaining things. It's actually a way to get your old de-synced builds renewed.

It lets you add Necro 2-3 and Dagon 2-5 to builds, along with fixing the stuck loading bug.

It's based off an old bug that I spoke to Valve about fixing (it was a sync issue, no longer happens). I can try it though it is not updated for 6.84 (no Boots of Travel - lvl 2 nor Glimmer Cape, etc.) edit: oh, it does work! Cool, I guess I will use it now and update all the guides

There's no real downside to Aghanim's, it just doesn't have a priority. I was on the fence about putting Eul's as Core too.

And poor man’s shield is OP during laning. Many melee cores should consider it a must buy That was the other thing.
