On warlock u literally want midas any game before 20 minutes I think. The xp and inevitability towards aghs and later refresher is too good. Support, core, doesn't matter.

On lanes, having to get Arcanes isn't as bad, and it's even sustainable to not get Arcanes if you get a Bottle. Support, core, doesn't matter. The big draw of Midas on Warlock is that it evens out your XP/gold distribution. There's really not a point to getting Agha before level 11 because rank 1 Agha Golems kind of suck (well, "suck" in that they're not really a major upgrade over the regular rank 1 Golem because the individual Golems get weak enough to be killable when they're only rank 1). Midas delays your Agha, but speeds up your level 11 so you end up meeting somewhere in the middle where you have Agha slower, but Agha+level 11 faster. If you get some game where you get a bunch of early fights where you get no kills and a bunch of assists, then it's possible for your gold/XP to be split in a way where you don't want Midas, but in a normal game, things will work out where the Midas makes things better for you. | ||

Ulti doesn't scale well enough to outweigh Stomp rank 2, especially since Stomp Rank 2 guarantees the combo against heroes without instant escapes. You get ulti rank 2 after that at 12 usually, but 2-4-4-1 at 11 is usually better than 1-4-4-2. | ||

Every time I didn't get a hero I wanted to practice on, I ended up getting a hero I noticed had a seemingly old build. So this spiraled into a bunch of updates and changes as I proceeded to lose lol | ||

Perhaps my least comfortable hero, so I don't think it is right of me to make guides regarding him besides the initial standard. Fixed Doom | ||

There's little variances like when what point of whatever is taken, but mostly its dual forge spirit build (QE) and tornado emp build (QW). Forge spirit build tends to be more farm+push-oriented, QW is more about teamfight presence, ganking, and counterpush. You can literally get by casting 3 spells in most games (forge spirits, cold snap... and i guess ghost walk if you're not as lazy as me. attempting sun strikes is extra credit). QW tornado/emp, old snap and if you're feeling flashy deafening blast. It's really impossible to put them both in one guide, you would probably have to break your "mid/lane/jungle" rule because both types of invokers need mid badly but if they get the wrong items they're fairly useless. There's one more common build, the pubstompy eul's sunstrike blast meteor combo, I don't think a guide is needed for that though. | ||
