(even hough the fan is spinning on it, and the LED light turns on?) what do i do now? EDIT: also i dont have another GPU on hand.

"fix windows repair (recommended ) " [start up repair something like that] "start windows normally" That's triggered all of the time, usually just hit start windows normally - it happens every time an OC fails for example, or a boot fails in general GPU.. i'm not sure

You can ask MSI's customer support about it. They'll suggest a few possible solutions to your problem, if those don't work then you'll probably have to RMA. The RMA shouldn't be too hard to set up with them, I highly doubt that not registering the card will be a problem, you have purchased it and you have the card itself. That should be enough. You could try to put your GPU into another computer and see if it works there. Maybe you could reinstall windows, though you should do that as a last resort or something. Otherwise I'm not sure. If the rest of your rig works it might as well be the GPU that's acting up, that much is clear. E: On second thought before RMA or even asking MSI about it I think you should really try stuff out. Fans turning and LED lights turning on makes me feel that the card is working? Could you maybe boot to windows and see if the computer detects it while in windows (with the monitor connected to motherboard that is). maybe relevant? http://www.techsupportforum.com/forums/f24/solved-graphics-card-black-screen-dvi-issue-656814.html minus the PSU stuff they discuss. having a GS600 myself, I wouldn't recommend this PSU.

http://www.tomshardware.co.uk/answers/id-1942298/black-screen-windows-loads-installing-gpu.html ^There, read up a bit. I'm not saying that will fix your problem, but trying different stuff out is always a start. It's what I would do in your case.

im trying to do this step from one of those links "1)Remove the gpu , plug monitor cable to mobo's onboard output 2)start pc - go to device manager - display - uninstall whichever drivers is 3)restart pc - put gpu back or 1)go to bios settings - set primary display device to PEG OR PCI E " but when i go to device manager and display, theres only the hd 4600 igpu as for the second option, my primary display is already set to PEG. and also, if i have my GPU connected to mobo, and use onboard graphics from motherboard, i still get no detection. i have to REMOVE the gpu to get detection via motherboard gpu also whats the difference betwen "black screen" and monitor saying i have no signal? cuz those links seems to be about black screens, but my case is that monitor says i have no signal

I wouldn't count on GPU being flat out dead to clear cmos, do i power down and have the PSU power switch set to off? and then do the screwdriver trick to the pin that says JBAT1 ?? or do i do this while my pc is on? also, do i keep my gpu plugged in wihle doing this?

Read your motherboard's manual. this is what i got from the motherboard manual pdf online "English 24 JBAT1: Clear CMOS Jumper There is CMOS RAM onboard that is external powered from a battery located on the motherboard to save system configuration data. With the CMOS RAM, the system can automatically boot into the operating system (OS) every time it is turned on. If you want to clear the system configuration, set the jumpers to clear the CMOS RAM." also what about the my other questions regarding power swtich, gpu, etc etc????
