filco or Das, razer build quality is notoriously poor when it comes to keyboards, if you managed to break a 6gv2 (which has a metal backplate), then you should have no trouble destroying the weak plastic shell that is the blackwidow.

You could just buy a single mechanical switch and replace the broken key, but that'd be far too easy.

How do people feel about Leopold boards compared to Filco and Rosewill?

I need the numpad and the fullsize Filco boards are really expensive. Leopold boards seem like a good alternative and I can actually get them shipped here. I just haven't heard much about them in terms of quality.

Aren't mechanical keyboards supposed to last 10x longer than a normal keyboard...

I love my lycosa but all the rubber has come off a lot the keys so they are just see through now = /

I've heard Leopold was a reliable brand when I did my research 1.5 years ago. You might still want to check into Rosewill further.

I don't think I've seen a mechanical keyboard thread like this boom for a while lol. Although I think everyone has made their point. The general opinion is Rosewill, Filco, or Leopold. Can't go wrong with any of them. Personally I'd go with Filco, I'm always hearing good reviews about them and their quality keyboards.

Just get a cheap keycool or hpe? These come from china so I don't know how long shipping is... but choice of switch & backlighting or not is nice.
