setting the quality lower did the trick to make it watchable, the 480p res was a bit too pixely for wow so I upped it to 720 again. I left the rest as is and it's decent now, I guess I'll wait to see how it looks on 2.5MB upload before spending money on Dxtory. Thanks again, all the best!

I ve started using Dxtory and my game runs a bit faster now. I have just one prblem. I can see this thing: ![]() While streaming, can people see that too? If yes, how can i get rid of it? And also i still get around 20 - 50fps while in game even i got this internet bandwith: ![]() I made my Xlit settings like you in your video tutorial: VBV max bitrate: 500 Does any one know the answers? Cheers!

You need to buy the DXTory software to get rid of the watermark (it's also stated in this thread if your look back ![]() As for your FPS. It's not related to your bandwidth. It's quite common to get FPS in that range, but it all depends on your hardware. You should *not* use the settings in the OP because your upload is much better than what he has optimized his settings for. I suggest you post your current settings (resolution, fps and all channel settings) and your hardware specs. You can get a lot more information on what settings to use, if you search through this thread and the one in my signature though.

I am playing in fullscreen mode on ultra settings with the following settings now: xsplit default quality 6 max bitrate 1800 buffer 2000 (my internet upload speed is upgraded now to 2.39MB) resolution: default stage if i forget or I set it to 1280x720 audio 44.100 khz 16 bit setero AAC LC bitrate 144000 fps 30 resolution 1280x720 in dxtory i set resolution to 1280x720, file output is checked off it's not recording. I checked taskmanager properties of everything and it's all multithread enabled with the checkboxes by default it seemed. I am not checking my own stream on the same computer. Thanks for any help you can offer again!

CPU load is only 20% and memory something like that too, so I must have some setting wrong to see this performance? If my system isn't stressed I should have smoother performance I assume? Thanks for any help you can offer again! My first bet would be that you max out a core, which doesn't (always) reflect on the cpu usage meter that shows the average over all cores. I've made this app to troubleshoot just that: http://www.xsplit.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=18&t=4759 I'ts just a suggestion, you don't have to use it to watch your cpu usage on each core. Also, maybe you could elaborate on the "spikes", because to me a spike means a sudden change in e.g. FPS or lantency, but you say that FPS is stable at 60? Maybe you should monitor your latency too (use Resource Monitor, Network tab). Lastly - the scene you use for the DXTory cam, does it have any other items in it (like a title, image etc) - if so, try removing those.

By spikes I mean I get like FPS drops but the FPS indicator says all is fine and doesn't even change, latency is fine too. I am using an image to cover my chat, i will try without it now. I also noticed my sound effects sound crap, I use the standard codec, tried upping the quality to 256000 but no change? Music and Voices sound ok tho.

From what you describe it sounds like several things are bad - it's not just one setting/issue.

Thanks for any help you can offer again! I have the same problem. Something has changed since the first time I've used this guide to stream. It WAS like this: http://www.twitch.tv/z32o/b/297359086 (click @0:20) NOW it's like this: http://www.twitch.tv/z32o/b/305758124 You can see it's choppy by looking at the drones mining minerals, every now and then they "stutter". I have formatted my PC thinking it was a problem with a conflict between the streaming programs I've installed to find the issue, but it seems it's something different. Any ideas? :s

I've tried the following: -restarting xsplit -restarting dxtory -triple checking that all my settings are as mentioned in the tutorial videos. Any ideas?

My CPU usage while streaming is around 40% normal and 70% while bug battles occur. My FPS doesn't go below 90 while streaming, even on 200 food battles over creep. The problem is that I didn't change anything from THEN and NOW. The only thing I can think of is the updated versions of the programs: XSplit and DxTory both updated since I made that first video. Personally, I think it's XSplit fault, because when I check the output on Xsplit, the graphics look fine and smooth; but when I open the stream on my other PC to check the quality, it's choppy like that. Maybe XSplit's update broke it... Have you ever heard something about choppiness using this combo with the newer versions of both programs?

Have you tried re-installing DXTory yet? Because that's when the cameras get's 'registered' so other apps can use them later. You might want to try a dxtory forum search for the issue too ![]()

Okay, so cpu and fps looks fine. To determine whether XSplit is at fault, try doing a local recording (use same stream settings for preset, bitrate, audio etc). I just have a feeling that the issue is related to your selected stream location. This would explain why it has changed without your doing. The server you stream could very likely be congested. This of course varies with time/popularity/etc, but you can test this by doing a 'bandwidth test' in your channel settings.
