You need to format/allocate/initialize it, just takes a few clicks. Not sure if you have to select file system type etc, been a very long time since i did that stuff

Oh, are there any good programs out there that you guys know of that allow you to full-screen something on a 4k resolution set up? My 4K reso set up consists of 4 1920x1080 monitors and they're all 'separate monitors' so I can have different stuff on each one of them. I was wondering if there was a way to full-screen something throughout all 4....

The way Im doing it right now is say, if I'm watching the WCS Canada stream, I pop-out the full-screen video thing and drag it carefully to the edges of the monitors. I was wondering if there was a way to do 'full-screen' but count all 4 as one screen.

My desktop is starting, but after the windows logos is done, my monitor goes into power-saving mode because it's not receiving anything from my computer. This has happened ~10 times in row today. I had to recover from a state a few weeks back. Right now my resolution is as low as it can be and I'm running a full system scan. Perhaps it will recover and everything will be fine, but I wanted to know if this was the result of some virus.

edit: even after restoring it to an earlier point and doing the full system scan, I tried restarting the computer and the problem appeared again.

When using ctrl+f to find a word on a web page or pdf does anyone know of a way (or a chrome extension) that allows you to print out the web page or pdf with all such occurrences of that word highlighted in the printed version? (I don't have Adobe Pro or any paid .pdf software) This is assuming the pdf file is searchable by text.

Alternatively I could copy/paste the website text into ms word and do it semi-manually by changing each occurrence of the word there (or automatically there's probably a way I'd need to figure that out).

edit: Doing it automatically in word is quite easy as I just figured out (just make sure your your highlight color isn't set to white like mine was at first heh). Still am curious about webpage/pdf if anyone knows though.

I have this case

right now the headphone jack works fine but sometimes it decides to play sound through both the front and rear jacks even though the driver for my soundcard is set to turn off rear audio when front audio is plugged in. Has anyone ever had this happen with their case of similar design? Or does anyone know of a resource I can use to learn how to open and perhaps quickly fix my issue? I can do some soldering but I couldn't find any resources on this issue online myself.

For some reason when i take a screenshot on the mac and it uploads it to Dropbox, it raises the brightness a bunch so it looks all wonky on my pc -- and my pc only (retrieving it from DB), but I transferred it to my phone using bluetooth and it looked fine. Any ideas?

Edit: Nevermind. It appears that this only happens when I try to open that image in Windows' image view program that comes with Win7. It opens 'right' in other programs.

Don't really know if this is the right place to ask, but does anyone have any thoughts on a good mouse pad? I stopped using my old one that I think was just cloth on rubber because it was just too much friction. Atm I play directly on my wood desk because it's minimal friction. However, the wood is starting to wear a bit where the mouse is always rubbing and I'll be playing a new desk in a few days.

Thoughts on what material/surface I should be looking at?

You can get glidy cloth pads (like the puretrak talent) and also make sure your mouse feet are good! Some plastic pads too, they are better or worse depending on the mouse sensor but degrade mouse feet faster AFAIK, what mouse do you have

No idea why that program does that when everything else recreates the image in the same way, a friend mentioned it was due to monitor calibration or some other weird thing but it messes up colors a lot

The Spawn prefers cloth, i think it was actually the puretrak talent that worked well with it when i originally started looking at both, it's been quite a while though. I remembered it as an aparantly glidy cloth pad, though there might be better ones (not sure) it's pretty high grade

You shouldn't have issues with drag with good mouse feet and something like that, especially if you clean feet+pad semi regularly with a quick wipe from lightly damp cloth (squeezed water out) but there might be faster/glidier solutions and i can't remember specifics on the sensor and what it tracks best with etc

I'm looking for a tablet that can support a mobile phone type of card for internet access. I'm not sure what that feature is called. Anyone know? iPads use "cellular" for it but I've not seen any other brand dub it that way (and I'm not getting an iPad). 3G is probably the obvious answer but I'm not so sure after I googled it and found something called WWAN, which just served to confuse me even further.

That would be a SIM card. The tablet would also have to support your provider's network (eg. If your provider uses the 2100MHz band, the tablet needs to support 2100MHz).

Yeah, it is a SIM card. Problem is that searching for tablets with SIM card compatibility yields very few results. Are there just not that many tablets or is there another way for me to search popular online stores for that? (Sorry, my previous post must've been kinda inaccurate, my main question is how to search for those types of tablets. I just assumed that companies made up a fancy name for the SIM card feature since I had trouble finding models.)

Is there any way to test one's connection to a server? I live in NA, but would like to play on the KR server, is there a way to see how much lag there will be without actually playing a game?

You can always ping the starcraft 2 servers, but a rather reliable and faster way is to use pingtest: http://www.pingtest.net/

Just pick Seul as your server of choice and see how much ping you get. Should be the same or at least very similiar to the ping you'll get when playing on KR.
