I'm guessing that's a different sort of bug, not the memory size on the graphics card. There should be some way to see how much memory is getting used on the card. Try to find out how to do that. I bet GPU-Z will show that in its sensor view.
You can also try to play a game with shitty, blurry textures. I never played LoL, but every game has that setting somewhere. If it still stutters with ugly textures, the 2GB card won't help you.
If you find proof that the memory use is fine, go and look for different driver versions or play around with the driver settings. The driver might for example get confused, wanting to save power and reduce speed while painting the 2D windows on the second screen, meanwhile you want to play a 3D game on the first screen. For that idea, some sort of power/performance settings might do something.
If nothing helps, I would first try to install a fresh Windows before buying the new graphics card.

ive been fiddling around with streaming lately, and 1 problem ive run into is sound. i dont actually use speakers or anything for sound, it actually just comes out of my monitor. lg mx248wv monitor, basically supposed to be a tv since it came with a remote, but thats beside the point. when im streaming im supposed to select an equipment for audio, but my monitor doesnt show up in the list. so basically i either have to use my mic for audio and mic purposes, which is shit or the viewers end up with no sound. any way to add the monitor to the list? or do i need to buy speakers. also there is no option to add equipment to the list on the streaming program (afreeca), so thats ruled out
|
If you right click the speaker and go to Playback Options -
right click the blank window - and make sure both boxes are checked - (Show disconnected and show disabled)
What you have displayed? It sounds like you use HDMI to your "TV" and that's a seperate playback device that should be listed.
|
my monitor is listed in the playback options as mx248wv. it just doesnt show up on the streaming program. the only ones that show up are the mic, line in, and various realtek stuff. none of them work besides the mic, but the mic is not what i want to be using anyway
|
Look for some NVIDIA or AMD or Intel HD Audio device showing up. That's what's sending the audio to the monitor over HDMI.
|
Nope. Doesnt show up. Afreeca doesnt seem to detect any of this

My monitor's screen has recently been turning off (well the LED light for the button still stays on though, and I can turn it off after it goes dark). First, the screen goes bright for a second (noticeably) then it goes completely dark.
I have to restart the monitor. Then after 30-50 seconds, it happens again.
Anyone have any ideas? Could it be caused by game or could it be just the monitor?
Also, it happened during a game I was playing (and I could hear the sound and everything). Speaking of that, I have it in windowed mode (doesn't matter if I alt tab away from it or not either while it was happening but I guess it doesn't matter since it sort of always was in focus due to it being in windowed mode).
Hmm, when I moved areas (loading screen), it stopped happening (not sure if coincidental but this problem never happened before). So it does seem to be something related to the game but IDK. As I type, it hasn't happened again which is good.
Anyone know if it is related to the monitor or cable or something else? Since after a loading screen, it stopped happening, makes me think it might not be the monitor or cable but either software related or something related to my computer (like video card). Hope it's not an issue related with the video card again >.> (I just replaced it a month and a half ago). Any help or insight will be appreciated .

Ok a Twitch question. This is really annoying me. If I mute the stream, and leave it muted for a while, when I un-mute it, it stays muted. Thus I have to reload the page. Very annoying...

on the spec's page of some monitors it says something like this
D-Sub 1 DVI 1 HDMI 1 DisplayPort No
like on this monitor http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16824236288
does that mean it doesnt support Displayport at all and it only has 1 ports for dvi, HDMI and D-Sub or does it mean that it doesnt come with any display port cable while it comes with 1 each for the other 3?
why i ask is that this is hard to believe that some monitors wont support all 4 (doesnt seem hard to make a monitor carry all 4 features)
also what is the difference between them? and what are they exactly
I plan on using dual monitor set up (1 for gaming while using the other for browsing web, youtube, etc etc etc so i dont have to keep alt tabbing while in game, also so i can watch stuff and play games) for a dual monitor set up, what do i need out of the 4?
tyvm !!

You'd want dvi.
Read the OP of the monitor thread it has lots of info
|
Those specifications are for the outputs available on the monitor. You know you can see everything in the pictures...
All monitors provide you a DVI and/or VGA (D-Sub) cable. Nobody is going to give you a HDMI or DP cable.
DVI and HDMI are both digital, the only difference is HDMI carries audio.
VGA is old, don't use this unless you're dirt broke.

Also, Just unplug the monitor from all cables besides the power and make sure the self test lasts more then 30-50 seconds, If it does not, replace the monitor.

If my Mic isn't working but the jack still detects it being plugged in its.just the Mic that needs to be replaced right? Freaking myself out thinking it might be the jack.

Freaking myself out thinking it might be the jack. If you have no other microphone to test with, you can actually use headphones. Plug them into the microphone jack you want to test. They will very faintly record something. Hold them close to your mouth when speaking into them.

WIll my i5 2500k bottleneck a gtx760?

There's not some magical number for them both to work "optimally" and if there was, it would be different for every program. Your 2500k will "bottleneck" the 760 in starcraft 2, meanwhile the 760 will "bottleneck" the 2500k in metro2033 etcetc
2500k (especially with overclock) paired with a good midrange gpu is a good setup
|
There's not really anything to upgrade to from the 2500k at this moment. It's pretty close to the current top. The required money for an upgrade would surely be better spent elsewhere than on board+CPU.
