If anyone still has this problem, go to their official website: http://steelseries.com/support/downloads Download the 8MB software that comes for the mouse. Run the program, and change the Report Rate to 125Hz. It's been said before by one of the top posters, but "how" to do it wasn't mentioned. This fixed my double click problem using the KINZU steelseries mouse

Disabling the mouse acceleration doesn't seem to do a damned thing. Any tips for configuring this mouse that eliminates the acceleration?

I played a lot of CS1.6 and SC2 during that time. I use the latest firmware and yeah, I used 500hz. Imo it's a problem in your PC instead of the mouse

The V2 is somewhat improved, but still has a really low malfunction rate and is still very lacking compared to everything else on the market. :/

Any tips for configuring this mouse that eliminates the acceleration? Acceleration is built into the firmware, I believe. The reason why your sensitivity is "fucked" is because you drastically lowered the report rate. At 500hz, Windows is sampling data from the mouse 500 times a second, at 125hz this will only be happening 125 times a second (once every 8ms). Basically it's going to reduce your ability for fine motor control over the mouse, would be much more noticable at higher DPI/CPI settings. I'm getting to a point where I would never reccomend anyone buying SS mice, Zowie has similar designs and shapes without all the problems SS seems to be having. I'm sure there are people who are happy with their SS mice, but I've been reading more complaints from SS owners than just about any other mice.

Was this the cause of my problem? It seems to be fixed now, but I can't remember what I did.

Either way reducing the USB reporting rate is drastically reducing the functionality of the device, for the effect it has on the device's sensitivity and repsonsiveness. Granted the Kinzu is cheap, but that's taking away about 50% of what you are paying for. Kind of rediculous that SS hasn't fixed the issue.
