Love the Incontrol and Machine interview. Lot of very deep, informative insight into the game, but hearing from them, still feeling a bit iffy about SCII.

I doubt what Yellow did with stalkers was something really pro, i bet a lot of ppl can do that it doesnt require amazing apm.
the micro looks oversimplified

I think they meant that he knew he was ahead, ie they saw his army was bigger in terms of cost/supply, then said yellow realized the same thing.

They only had a few hours to practice before the matchups, which is not long to learn how to micro an army. The micro they were using (eg Stalkers) was simple.. but I'd probably be using some pretty straight forward moves for my first few hours of play too.
Hopefully once the games released we will see some real innovation within the micro of each unit as people begin to adapt to each others techniques.

now that the weekend is past and blizzcon is over, and the initial excitement passed, i cant help but feel a little underwhelmed by the new SC2 info. like the gas mechanics and related changes, thats whatever in the current build and can always be changed. hearing about three massive campaigns, that was pretty cool (and im excited for). other than that, nothing really stuck out.
maybe i was still hoping deep down that there were be a better indication of when the game is gonna come out. though a company-wide alpha/beta and beta keys seems encouraging.

Wow. Those two games looked really easy to follow actually. It was a bit hard to tell what was going on, but that's inevitable on youtube. I'm getting really excited for this game, lol

Thanks for the CommunityStarcraft.com plug, our Blizzcon page has most of the general information from the convention. We didn't focus on the professional matches but everything else is basically covered. Our front news page is updated many times daily also if you guys are looking for a place for general Starcraft 2 news.
EDIT: Our Blizzcon page has a lot of the videos you guys were looking for, you'll just have to scroll through the pages (only the Sigaty interview and the Browder interview are on the first page under Blizzcon). We'll have all of the videos in our Videos section shortly but they are currently only in Blizzcon.

1 thing that excites me around as much as SC2 itself are SC2 beta blogs.
Were Blizzcon participants asked not take screenshots / make videos / whatever?
Another question that is bothering me for some time now is since upcoming beta means SC2 in less than a year (I think Plexa predicting 11months from now is MAX) and since there were many TLnetters to receive beta keys will SC2 TL section grow bigger somehow or will be new site made not to confuse SC and SC2??
I mean SC2 strategy forum etc etc...?

Karune about Nighthawk's Targeting Drone:
The Targeting Drone is similar to the Auto Turret in the fact that it does not have a timed life. It currently costs 50 energy to deploy and has 120 hitpoints (all subject to balance of course). The Targeting Drone can target one unit at a time, and increases the damage that unit takes by 50%. You cannot have two drones targeting the same target. These drones are also flying, stealthed, and immobile. They may excellent perimeter defenses and can be coupled with Auto Turret raids to maximize the damage.
