Well the combat animations aren't as intense as in WC3, but the terrain, unit shapes, colors, all those lasers, they make it look pretty un-manly compared to the REAL starcraft we're all used to.

indeed reapers had flame throwers in the part o the video with the phase cannons o.O;

This means that Reapers will somehow have both pistols and ( firebat like ) flame throwers ?

Im really curious about this.

Well i can see what they mean on the jungle maps. It very very bright green not like BW dark green. Still I think the platform and lava looked kick ass. As for the buildings and units the only thing that looked cartoonish to me was the flying surfboards for the soul hunters.

It looks ok on the twilight maps but on the jungle-terrain-looking ones it pretty much resembles WC3. Which DOES look very cartoonish. And no, doctorasul, even C&C 3 (which I hate) has more manly looking graphics than this. I'm talking about color tones (mainly) and those annoying bursts of color that show up when units are firing (like the soul hunters' thing). Keep it grim!

They mispelled the Surf Hunter which has a combined fire animation, when focus firing, which may mean they deal extra damage(or not)

Carriers apear to have special shields vs ground attacks, but this could be just graphical, although nothing in sc is purely graphical and it is a nice idea to have a separate or extra shields against diferent attacks.
Interceptors die off instantly, instead of a bit after the carrier.

The reaver clearly did shoot once(and killed a single reaper).

I think a high templar casted the stasis, you can see it moving under the tempests before the stasis and it just stands around afterward.

I think the ones with the flamethrowers are just firebats, not reapers. You don't see them shooting from a gun do you? I certainly didn't. Plus they died differently; they just fly off swirling into the air.

I have made like 3 posts in regards to SC2 so I am definitely not reaching for anything nor do I not know what I'm arguing/complaining about. I also really want to love SC2. HOWEVER, the game looks fucking cartoony to me and I do not like it one bit.

That's exactly how the reapers die. What do guns have to do with anything? In the gameplay video at sc2.com reapers have small "twin pistols", a jet pack and occasionally die with a flying off animation. In this video they are exactly the same, except with flamethrowers.
