Good to see Zest take a map against such a superior player.

Also, the reason that some players had to win only one bo3 is because there were so many walkovers and no-shows. Foreigners have part-time jobs too, and don't live conveniently close to tournaments either. This GSL had around a FORTY PERCENT no-show rate. Remember when the community was crucifying the NA scene for tournament no-shows? This GSL qualifier takes it beyond the pale, and don't forget that Korea gets half of all the esports money that Blizzard is dedicating to Starcraft this year.
GSL qualifiers usually have a pretty large number of no-shows. It's an unbroadcasted qualifier not a tournament, so no-shows are to be expected.

That's a fair point, but regardless, a large number of players still decided that it wasn't worth their time to show up and play potentially one or two best of 3's to pocket $2,500.

A drop in the quality of code S qualifiers merits a drop in the puns too.

How many of them actually stood a chance though? Symbol, Departure, anyone else?

Well if they had all shown up.. it would have been three or four bo3s. And most of the no-shows were mostly semi-pros / amateurs who probably didn't fancy their chances.
