And where is the fucking logic that the unified Protoss and Kerrigans Swarm always need the help of Raynor's Raiders with whatever survived from the dominion?

Stuck on this mission as well, once Kerrigan was at 75% every base was getting assaulted nonstop + 5 thrashers .. how do you deal with that?

I pulled back before the 75%. 2 PFs plus the majority of the tanks at the main entrance, about 10 tanks at the natural expansion (walled both sides ofc), a handful of vikings (no more than 10; I use the merc vikings too) and turrets everywhere.

I love how if Arty's Nexus falls he's so casual about it. I believe he says something like, "Friend Raynor, I can help no longer on this mission. Ima head back to the Holiday Inn - Void Centre and get a good night's sleep and hook up with you tomorrow for the next mission, after donuts."

Just go tank and marines with bunkers. Try to fortify positions from the start. Pretty easy if you do it like that - also use Kerrigan to focus down beefy units. Bfs , Ultras, Archons, Immortals - thats what kills your allies.

Just put like 6-8 tanks, a wall of bunkers (you don't really need that many marines), some turrets, 4-6 vikings, and 5-7 SCVs at each point of attack. Throw in a planetary fortress or two if you need to. As long as you use Kerrigan to laser the biggest units (Battlecruisers, Colossi, Guardians, Ultras, Thors, Immortals, and Archons), you'll be fine.

Basically FE, 6 tanks+wall on each side, turret ring up, reinforce each side with 6-8 tanks and a wall if possible, use Kerrigan to target anti-tank tank units and call in all the hero units possible.

Thats how i beat it on Brutal.

Please game, I profoundly hate this type of mission and they make me do 2 of them almost back to back?? Also its basically that laser drill mission from Wings :/

I played all missions on normal difficulty. Only epilogue mission 2 and 3 I needed one retry. As usual I always play in the most difficult way when I look back how I should have played this and/or that mission...

Funny thing is that I never used any hero spell attacks or from solarit in all missions, zero usage. I play like I am laddering.

Zerg low master until I stopped in summer 2015. Never played P or T. Never played LotV beta and still haven't played a single ladder match. I still dont care. Maybe I will start next year with ladder.
I understood the last mission completely false, I thought I have to kill everything THEN I can kill those 7 things. At 2nd try, I ignored everything and just killed those 7 things within 14min playtime.

Actually there is nothing wrong with retries in my case, it reflects my process in real life perfectly. I fucked up with easiest things although 110% brain usage and at 2nd try I completed it prefectly in afk mode.

God, Artanis commiting suicide on me so many times unless I held his hand through every breath. It's like the rage in Dota when someone feeds and you just start foaming the mouth.

Thanks for the help guys, this was one of the most frustrating missions.

Yeah, my roommate commented on why I didn't help Artanis, and I was like, is he not supposed to die? I only lasered the big units to help the allies, so they had to deal with the small dudes themselves. Artanis literally dies to the first push of about 8 marines and 4 marauders. Zagara holds until like 95% with the same help. Surely I am not required to laser single marines to help his weak ass. This was on Hard btw.

WoL had 3 of these missions and I believe LotV has 2.(3 if Epilogue is counted). They're not intuitive but it's not that bad.

I did this mission in hard, fairly easy

constantly use Kerrigan ability to kill strong unit, especially broodlord, BC and carrier

mass tank, and wall of turret stand in front, have 5 SCV with auto repair at each door, you might add a few viking or thor to draw their flies attention.

The key is to kill fly units fast with Kerrigan, the tank will deal the rest

About how many Void Trashers appear during this mission? To get the mastery achievement, you cannot use Kerrigan's ability more than 15 times.

Edit: I counted 8 Void Trashers (or maybe 6... Not 100% sure because of save/reload), meaning you can use Kerrigan's ability 7-9 times on some other units.

I managed to do it on hard using strategies in this topic. Bunkers on Terran side filled with marines and SCVs to repair, PFs to defend the Protoss base, banshees and merc vikings on the zerg side. I made a few siege tanks for both Terran entrances along with the Protoss base. I used spectres as a mobile group helping whichever base was most under attack (usually Protoss or Zerg bases).

This was easier then other missions, was just a matter of building PFs in the right places at the right times and reinforcing with tanks. Also liberal use of Kerrigan's ability on large stuff.
For the zerg side I strongly recommend the merc banshees, The zerg side never gets detection and the banshees will clean up every ground unit and then Zagara can clean up any remaining air.

I failed this mission the 1st time. But realized they the AI has no detection even on brutal. Only bought ghost/specters and put 20 or so at each entrance. They stay permanently cloaked, and can use an ability to slow the attack. For early game I called down to Cloaked banshees from the mercenary building. Got lv 3 attack for ground and easily won.

Does anyone have a good strategy for beating this without using Kerrigan on hard (for the achievement)? Artanis is a completely useless piece of shit that dies to literally every single attack without my help, so I continuously get spread too thin to build enough defense on any entrance.
