I am not preordering. And I suggest you don't do either. Important stuff - you are still going to have it, just be patient. But by not giving Blizzard money now you send a warning that you might not end up buying their game - even if you know that you will in the end. But if you preorder - it tells them: do whatever you want, you already have my money.

I'm not pre-ordering either until EU gets a server...

Those bonus are nice, but should have been given for pre-ordering LotV.
What a world. I'll wait this time.

pre order? Dont think there is going to be a mad rush!

Definitely got it, really enjoying beta thus far and love me some lurkers. Can't wait to get through this prologue of missions too!

Fix the hacking in the ladder then I'll consider buying it

it is a stand alone product that requires no other purchase

relative to Etherium, Homeworld, CoH2 , Grey Goo, and Rome2 Total War the SC2 engine is a masterpiece. relative to the other video games i play the engine is solid and gets the most out of my hardware relative to other engines. most people i know feel the same way.
most of the guys i know don't have a video card and monitor that supports anything more than the ultra mode of SC2.

if you want Blizzard to never make another RTS game again the best thing to do is not purchase LotV. Or any of the other old RTS games Blizzard still sells that you do not currently own. This strategy worked great with Microsoft and EA.
If you want the RTS genre to cease to exist the best strat is to spend $0 in the genre...another great strat that has been working flawlessly since 1981.

Still waiting for the collector box, so I'll have all three x)

Can't believe I am saying this but I am not excited for this release at all
|
Well, I'm going to pre-order just to play the beta hahaha. Easy purchase indeed.
Edit: I'm even tempted to buy the complete deluxe editions just to grab the special skins...

For like the 5 of us who aren't in the beta yet. ;__;
I'm actually not in beta because i didn't have an active account in top 20% of the HOTS ladder when they gave those people beta. Aside from that.. they basically stopped doing invite waves? I didn't really see any chat about it.
Glad to have a buy-in option with pre-order - £30 is a good price for all of sc2 and i'd rather the deluxe edition be ~20-35% more, but 1.5x the price (£45) is still alright considering i'd use the sc2 skin and probably eventually the heroes of the storm mount

Seems like you can't purchase the complete deluxe edition even when you only have a standard edition game on your account. Seems like a bug to me, especially since they say this on their buying page:
If you already own the standard edition, you can buy the Digital Deluxe content for a reduced price (will display at checkout).

Cool, just not to me then They said it was influenced by your HOTS activity, but i have not played HOTS seriously for a long time now
i figured LotV would be $60 USD because its a stand alone product.
they did this giant long beta and are only asking $40 USD, and its not an expansion that requires a different purchase.... ATVI is going to make fuck all on this. this makes it even easier for them to push aside Starcraft and RTS like it doesn't exist.
if the retail box copy is also $40 USD then just wow. my how the RTS genre has fallen. u get onto the ladder and a campaign for just $40.
And here is a perfect example that people will complain about literally anything.
Lower price is good for population, an rts that's alive for 5 more years instead of just 2 is one that will make more money

My prediction is that the game will be released shortly after Blizzcon. That will be the best time for them to get sales and increase the hype. As well since it will be the shopping season.
It certainly seems like they are gearing up the PR machine with all the stuff being released. Incontrol is at Blizzard HQ, I would imagine to play some of the early campaign missions and provide feedback. I'm starting to get hyped for this. Although, I would like to see some more radical changes in the Beta.

hmm...do you save $ by pre purchasing digitally?
|
bought the CE of WOL, the digital edition of HOTS, but I will not buy this game, let alone preorder it... In 2009 if someone told me I was not going to buy a SC2 game I would've called them crazy. I'll check out streams and youtube to see how this mess of a story unwraps and I'll watch a few games in tournaments here and again to see if they ever manage to get this game fun again.
