Whispers of Oblivion are seriously disappointing. I really hope the last campaign would be on the level but the prologue is not. Heroes were already strong in WoL, in HotS Kerrigan stepped it as you could just solo missions with her. I hope they won't make heroes in LotV so powerful that normal units would be on "why bother" level. Heroes being strong? Only the prophecy missions has Heroes on missions with bases and only in the third was Zeratul broken. But I agree with what you are saying overall, I would like to point out that Blizzard just released a new short story introducing a new character that I think has been revealed in one of the trailers, this dude seems super badass, plus I heard that Legacy will have 50 missions? On top of that the 3.0 Campaign UI hits right in the feels. WoO was horribly bad, but recently I've started to garner some hope. There was mission with Tychus into Odin, solo Odin, hidden mission with Raynor covert ops, mission where all four guys (Jimmy, Tychus, the guy from armory and "scientist" where making underground run). There was mission with either Nova or the Spectre guy. First mission with Jimmy. Maybe s.t. else.

Does anyone know if they pre-purchase the just the game via Blizzard online that there is a possible way to obtain a physical copy of the box from Blizzard or another method? I was going to just order it from my local EB games or Gamestop, but all the midnight launches (Fallout 4 dictating the midnight launches) are far away that it isn't worth my gas and time to drive for them, plus I have work early the next morning. I do want the box though just as a final addition since I have WoL and HotS, but I will pre-purchase at this point now to save the hassle

no , you can not obtain a physical copy once you pre-order directly with Blizzard.
i'm going to buy the physical Collector's Edition when it becomes available from GameShack or IceMan. I'll prolly give the key to someone in my clan. I wouldn't give EBGames $0.01. I kinda feel sorry for the people who work there though.

Swann and Stettman.
I'm totally with you, man. I had no intention of playing HotS online, but I would still get it for the campaign as I do with all Blizzard games ever. When I heard how bad the story was, and how shitty the Kerrigan-centric gameplay was, though... that went right out the window. SC is my favorite franchise of my fav game publisher, and I never even bothered to get the expansion. Sad times.
I'm in a different boat now, because I'll get LotV for the multiplayer one way or the other. But I don't have great expectations for the campaign. Even if it isn't easy as hell and focused on gimmicky heroes, I'm expecting it to be all purple prose and zero substance. Hybrids... whooo.... Kerrigan save us....

Preordered it last night. Not that hyped for lotv and am unsure of the direction the game is going but in the end it's just 40 bucks. If it' ends up being disappointing then meh, whatever. I've wasted far far more money on a single drunken night at the clubs.

What's wrong with EB Games?... other than that sometimes I get bad luck and have to deal with an employee who doesn't seem to enjoy their job there.
Well guess I will get it the same day evening... though it sucks paying $59.99 CAD. I just hope that it won't be a large 10+ GB download installation, despite all the pre-downloads that have been happening as of late
