You can buy digital then get retail, after you redeem the retail you can contact support let them deactivate your original digital key so you can sell it or gift it.

Its a little sad that people want to buy the game for collection purposes more than the game by itself. Personally i wont spend money for a game that is a copy 90% of HotS, but i respect the people who gona do. Anyway is a little surprising the decision of not making LotV f2p, considering the competitive world of games, and the down of population of sc.

Well, after seeing Warlords of Draenor at 60€ i was worried that LotV would cost the same, but the standard 40€ for a stand alone expansion is a good deal, even if i won't play ladder at all.

When purchasing from amazon, you get the game on release date. They ship it a day in advance, at least in Germany. It worked fine for wol and hots for me.

Man this is a really awesome way Blizz is doing this. I wanting to see how much the price drop would have been for the Collectors Edition for everything, but it said I was not eligible as I already own one (HotS). Is anyone else having a problem with that?

I'm sure that Blizzard wouldn't want you being any other way. The beta's the time to fix/patch/re-do stuff so that the game's in excellent shape for a random release.

I wonder if they are going to be announcing a release date soon then? Incontrol is at Blizzard HQ, I imagine to play some campaign missions, unlikely they would bring him all the way down there just for multiplayer feedback. The pre-orders now being available.

The game's announced when Blizzard feels ready, and I don't know if they'll feel ready until Q4 2015 just with them also wanting a "long beta" and everything. Fingers crossed for a shorter beta than they anticipated in wanting.

We will be making Whispers of Oblivion available to all players before the game’s release, but prior to that, we will be providing early access to the Prologue missions with pre-purchase of the game. Look for more details sometime in July.
