I want to hear the teams communication from the booth! Maybe even get a permanent translator to the casting table who can give insight on what the Koreans are saying! Like someone said above - it would be cool if the observer interface could be updated so you have a "who controls what" toggle - just to see how the team is splitting their tasks and "who did this crazy micro action".

All you need to know is what each team is doing. Whether the match is good or not will determine my interest. Knowing who did what doesn't change my interest that much. However, perhaps it would be neat to have different colored select ring underneath each unit so we can see who is doing what. It's confusing because you miss out synergic play from standard one. in 2v2 for exemple you can SEE the synergy of a team that can result in superior engagements or decision making. You can't know in archon mode if it's the case. So yes i would love to have something that can show dual micro battles from "micro battles". Imagine a sol player holding a 2player attack. That would be cool.

Like extended player colours, make it, that the units change the colours from maybe blue to light blue or red to orange, when either player a (blue) or player b(light blue) of the same archonteam gave the last order to the unit. For example: If you would see how they split up army managment and economy, while the worker and buildings are all blue, the army would become light blue very fast. Or a big blinkstalker ball and you would see the stalker changing colours with each blink all the time. Viewers would see, that both players use their combined skills for epic blink management. The players themself wouldnt see that at all.

Even 4v4s or FFAs are more competitive lol. 2 progamers probably play worse than 1 in archon mode because they are more annoying to each other than they help. So the only thing it does is reducing the skill gap between the teams compared to the single players. So hype.

That would be cool. I swear you guys have some weird logic. What synergic play? In 2v2? Most of top 2v2 I've seen are just a pile of units(usually mix of Air and ground because if both of them are going ground they don't have space to fight with all of those units) and you can't see jack shit because there are so many ground units and air units over them. It is fun at the start with harassment etc. and then the fun stops. Not even mentioning that in 2v2 people usually just mass certain type of units as they can compensate their weaknesses with the units of other player. So I've seen top games with mass Infestors, mass Swarm Hosts, mass Void Rays, mass Vikings while other player makes just ground etc... It's absolutely retarded. Archon mode is literally expanded 1v1, it's not 2v2... You are watching 1v1 with just a lot more stuff going on, who cares which player is controlling what. Most of Archon mode games I've seen were really fun from the start until the end if players knew what they are doing and how to respond to the opponents strategy. I can even understand that you guys don't like Archon mode, but then coming here and saying "hey, better not put some serious money on this", my brain starts to hurt.

Terran is probably going to win it, but who knows! I hope to see really cool micro intensive strategies from all races, close to not viable in normal 1v1s.

It's also probably good publicity for LotV. It could end up attracting a newish playerbase to SC2. 1v1 is stressful for your average player so a tournament showcasing this new team mode might intrigue some people.

I know that learning 2v2 would be even more demanding but those games should be interesting even at a lower level, because u know, its not the same thing that we normally watch.

Sure there is potential for it to suck because the two players have trouble coordinating. But these are pro gamers. They spend their life perfecting their SC2 skills... you don't think they can sit down for a little bit and practice archon mode? I think it would make for extremely entertaining harass focused games.
