CJ.(P)herO, ST.(Z)Life, and YoeFW.(P)PartinG have all been awarded wildcard spots in IEM Taipei, which begins on 28 January.
Kenzi says that, according to the article, many Korean players are expected to compete in the open bracket as well.

I could only find the three names listed above within the article. However, it appears there is one more spot to be given based on the Liquipedia page. Currently I'm assuming it has not been announced. If anyone can find the 4th name or any other information, please post below and it will be edited into the OP.

Does anyone know why Bomber did not play in the Asian Final Qualifier even though he was invited? Was there some computer issues or was he just not available at the time. I might have missed it in the LR thread.

There's always four. This is how IEM has worked for several seasons. 2 qualifiers from NA, 2 from EU, 2 from Asia, 1 from the host region (in this case, Asia), 1 from the host nation (in this case, Taiwan), 4 invited wildcards, 4 from the Open Bracket. If the fourth invitee isn't listed, they're either not yet announced by the ESL, or they may be foreign (there was one foreign wildcard in San Jose).
The world is better when every background has a chance.

It'll probably end up being like Snute or Bunny or something. It makes sense to add a wildcard foreigner.

Sure, even though they wouldn't touch Naniwa with a 10 foot poll

I dunno, I could see why a pro player would be somewhat paranoid over whether someone was cheating or not. There is nothing more annoying than losing to some shithead cheater. Though, admittedly, it'd probably be quite satisfying being a shithead cheater too. Still, so long as it isn't too crazy (and I wouldn't say his IEM incident or his most recent Happy Russian stream incident were) then I'm fine with his accusations/paranoia.

He's not paranoid. The IEM incident was just Polt wrecking him so he made up a dumb excuse to forfeit because a-moving his probes in the two remaining games would have taken too long.

Don't say stuff you don't actually know. It doesn't contribute to anything, except waste a bit of your and my time.

Not true. Whether or not you want to believe him is a little different, but he said on Remax earlier today actually what he had been saying all along. He didn't really want to play anyways, but it was only exacerbated by the fact that he could definitely hear the casters. He said that he confirmed with other players that the soundproofing was inadequate, but he was just so mad about having to put up with it and not really wanting to be there anyways that he quit. Polt didn't "wreck" him, he scouted a proxy gate in a fairly obvious proxy location, and although it was wrong of NaNiwa to instantly assume that Polt had overheard the casters, because we can be pretty confident Polt would have scouted it anyways, he still had a legitimate complaint.

So you "know" this? You're omniscient and were listening to NaNiwa's thoughts at the time? Please, give me a break. He had stopped practicing because he didn't care about the game anymore, and when he realized how badly he'd get killed he took the shortest route out of the building without admitting it. If you don't agree then don't, but don't pretend you "know" anything about it.

the whole point is that it's not mature or professional to loudly whine about your paranoia... a professional keeps his suspicions to himself and if he has serious accusations to make he directs them to the proper channels instead of trying to rally sympathy from a third party (the audience) with little or no evidence

so is now a good time to start rumors about it being naniwa? :D

Sure, even though they wouldn't touch Naniwa with a 10 foot poll

they don't have to touch him as long as he has soundproofing

it's naniwa, he'll find out how the other guy is cheating no matter what.

What's the Happy stream incident?

After some suspicious decisions by Happy in G2 of his series against NaNiwa during WCS EU qualifiers (without looking at the replay and analyzing why Happy did what he did), NaNiwa called Happy out for ghosting because he had been informed that the Russian stream was only on 10 seconds delay, when all streams are supposed to have like 2-5 minutes or something. Therefore in G3 there was no Russian stream. People were just accusing NaNiwa of being a sore losing prick though because they didn't know the Russian stream didn't have the proper delay

They should have invited Naniwa Happy Kas and Marinelord and put them under one group with round robin rules.
