Following our exciting announcement last Friday regarding our sensational plans for 2015, we’re delighted to be able to release the schedule and prizepool confirmation for our offline LAN events from March to September.
It’s a calendar bursting at the seams with a relentless sequence of top class eSports events that will ensure that 2015 is a landmark year for both spectators and competitors.
Check below for details on how our offline season of events is scheduled to run:
We will be releasing the prizepools for all Gfinity Opens on Friday 12th December. These events will give every gamer the opportunity to take part in a top class eSports LAN tournament, details of how to participate and tickets will be released in due course.
The more eagle-eyed amongst you will have noticed that currently there are no Halo Majors or Open listed on our schedule, don’t worry we’ve not dropped our support for the game! We’re currently working on the dates for those events and will release them in the coming weeks.
We are delighted to confirm that Gfinity Call of Duty tournaments will now incorporate the Pro Points system for the purposes of seeding and qualification for Gfinity tournaments.
Pro Points WILL be a determining factor in whether teams qualify for an invitation to Gfinity Majors.
Pro Points will be on offer in 2015 from January for all online Call of Duty tournaments and each Gfinity Major and Open for Call of Duty in 2015 will offer a substantial number of Pro Points to be won alongside the huge prizepools.
If you didn't catch the original announcement video below then take a look below and be prepared to get excited!
We are looking forward to a hugely exciting year, that we, together as Generation eSports, can ensure continues to make competitive gaming one of the most popular, most exciting and fastest growing sports in the world!
Will be UK events. All flights/travel costs will be covered and Gfinity was founded by CoD players and the UK is very console oriented so they get a lot of love from Gfinity.
As is understand, the "opens" are open for everyone. Thus should make atleast the last SCII event WCS-Points giving. The others events sound more like mostly Invite only thus not giving WCS Points.

They'll announce it at a later point. (source) I personally don't think so because it sounds pretty invite-heavy to me.
You only need 25% of spots to be open via qualifier, the rest can be invites.
Regarding the FPS titles featured, it seems strange to have two FPS titles on their circuit. You would want to diversify and have maybe a MOBA, FPS, and RTS.
But maybe both are popular in the UK, so that's the reason for choosing COD and CS.
UK is much more Console based. I wondered that they support SCII so much, but I am happy about it.
Halo will be anounced at the 12/12 like most other not yet anounced things. So they will actually have 3 FPS title, CoD and Halo on the console, CS:GO on the PC.

Will CoD and Halo both be played on Xbox? I would imagine Sony would want a piece of this pie and have CoD played on Playstation
