Surely that's whack? well he won IEM, already has 1325 WCS Points, his aligulac rating is 2188, he's in SSL and GSL which both give tons of points and give seedings into next season if he makes it far enough 90% is only 9 out of 10, it's not like a guarantee last year almost all of the WCS Partner champions made it to Blizzcon and some of the others were really close, and herO is still in SSL and GSL, even if he fails his next matches in those he still can do well in the next seasons and other tournaments On December 27 2014 06:10 Dodgin wrote: I think it assumes he will keep a certain level of performance throughout the entire year, otherwise making predictions this early is impossible. I wouldn't say it assumes, it just uses his aligulac rating to come up with his chances in future matches, but yea it doesn't try to predict hot streaks or slumps, although it predicts closer to 50/50 matches than aligulac does to give more of a chance for changing form, 50/50 is better for these long term predictions because of the chance of players changing in skill | ||

The website was completely rewritten, check it out NEW WEBSITE! Here is the FAQ. Aside from the full redesign there are some new features. Here are the big ones. AFK Chances - This shows what their Blizzcon Chances are if you assume they earn no more points, this would be helpful in looking at the situations we saw with sOs and Jaedong last year for example. Everyone is currently at 0% AFK Chances because they all need more points in order to make it. Branched Simulations (coming soon) - This allows for the possibility of looking at really specific theoretical scenarios, read the FAQ on the website for more info about this. WCS Wars - WCS Wars is a fantasy league based on the median WCS points as determined by WCS Predictor. You currently start the game with 8,000 WCS Points to buy players with (this starting number will need to be adjusted depending on the season). Each player's cost = median_wcs_points + base_cost - (minimum_wcs_points / 2), where the base_cost is currently 200. Build a team of 5 players, hope that your players win to boost their Median WCS Points, and you can sell them to buy different players. Selling currently gives you 95% of their worth. Check the Leaderboard section at the bottom of the WCS Wars page! Graphs in the Biggest Winners/Losers sections, and WCS Points Cutoffs graphs. Tournaments in Upcoming section, with countdowns and stream links. Events tables have default filters for "simple" and "is-likely", with buttons to change filters easily, and you can still type custom filters. The "i" icon next to the events shows their keywords. You can also filter by < (less than) and > (greater than) percentages, every whole number percent from 0 to 100 works. Examples of filtering by percentages are: "B<10%" for events that result in Blizzcon Chances worse than 10%, or "P>20%" for events that have a probability over 20%. Also make sure to check the "More" dropdown on the top menu to see more pages, like the Tournaments page. Make sure you make your WCS Wars team! Top 50 players by Blizzcon Chances.
