Of course. This is retarded, I'd be ashamed to show such a thing and to have progamers actually play such !@#$%^&*. Even a toddler could tell you why this unit is broken in its current state (broken in every sense, plain interesting and imbalanced).
Right now everyone in twitch joke are going "Legacy of the Joke". I can't say this is positive advertisement.
Honestly I can't help thinking they rushed the presentation because they needed to give the community a bone to chew on. But I fear this will have the opposite effect to what is researched. I won't say I fear the expansion, Blizzard know how to make a solid game and LotV won't look like that, but what would I think if I was say a LoL fan passing by and catching those games ? I'm pretty sure I'd laugh, say "wow, SC2 players even more retarded than I thought" and never return again.
Agree. I think the end-product probably will be decent. Both WOL and HOTS wasn't that terrible afterall, but alot of the stuff the they have in the game here looks like something they first put in early friday 1 hour before blizzcon started becasue they had been busy working on Heroes of the Storm.
For the ones who can understand French :
I can very well picture David Kim being the one who screams in a high pitched voice. Someone would just have talked about ravager, and then lurkers, and David Kim goes "Lurkers ! Yes !".

Thats a great point, though I think not showing LotV multiplayer at all would've been even worse.
Well I think they first of all should have spent like 2 minutes testing stuff a bit more. It's not very hard to notice that the Cyclone is pretty dumb.
Then I also would have preferred games that already were played rather than live showmatches, because there is always a probability that bad games can occur, and it's just not desireable in this situation. That was what Blizzard did with HOTS and it created more hype to see games that actually were decent instead of this.
Also to be everyone talking about blizzard being really to make big chances. The lame deathball toss vs bio play is still there. No changes to the Collosus was made and Immortlas are still too immobile and unmicroable to not be part of the deathball. Like Warp Prism is not gonna be used for anything else than dropplay, it won't be a part of the micro interaction durin engagement when Vikings still counter Collosus.
8 range colossi is huge. Everything definitely points towards a general gateway buff.
They should remove AA vulnerability and rebalance it completely. Viking vs Collosus is not a fun interaction.

Colossi actually have less range(see above). And I agree that the changes seem very very untested, the Cyclone looks too strong obviously.
But I still think that seeing how Blizzard approaches "change" now is a good thing. I feel like the sooner beta will start the better the results will be. Seems like we finally got Blizzard away from the "Sorry we can't do that"-thing.

Great point, why not battle reports ? Do this to show the archon mode, but prepare battle reports that are carefully planned and really showcase good things about the new units. Everyone is so underwhelmed by the cyclone for instance, maybe a well done video of a battle report could have shown this unit potential (though I doubt there is any).

Yeah, and that's definitely a good thing. Now they just need us to tell them what is actually interesting and what just makes the game worse

And the twitch chat is known to be the place where the most reasonable and clever people gather.
This is alpha, in a few showmatches, 24 hours after the initial announcement. If it's still the same when the beta starts, sure, whine about it. Right now it's just stupid (both the cyclone and the whining).
OK that's true. But if everybody can see that this is terrible, how the fuck can the developers miss that fact? It's like going to your boss with a shit presentation and then asking him to trust your project.
But who says that they're missing that fact? Even DK said yesterday that it does seem "strong" and it's still worked on. And when DK says that something seems strong, it usually means that it's OP as fuck.
It's work in progress, and they played it a lot more internally that a few progamers since yesterday. Maybe there are ways to deal with it that haven't been used, maybe there are already changes in the pipeline, obviously there will be changes anyway.
They're not blind, and for those who say that it would have only taken them 2mn to fix everything, it's like the backseat programmers who "argue" that their pet feature is so simple that it could be implemented in a few minutes. They just have no idea of what's going on behind the scenes and the amount of work needed to do anything on any real project.
Obviously it's seems stupid right now. Everyone can see it, including Blizzard. What's the point of endlessly harping about it instead of focusing on the actual positive parts?
It's Archon Mode in Legacy of the Void. At Blizzcon. Have a drink, relax and enjoy the show. No reason to get all Twitch chat about this right now. There'll be more than enough reasons to get pissed at terran with the WCS semi-finals
Cyclones look a little too easy to use. Take it with a grain of salt as I've never played it. However, it looks like it may need some looking into in the future. Hercs are cool though.

No, but LotV will be standalone. Probably only ladder and campaign behind the paywall, though! (If they keep the theme thaat they have with heart of the swarm)

I would take that trade any day of the week. Better Gateway units for less WG capability and less reliance on AoE.
Well, I'd take that too, but where did you read anything about a stalker buff (chargelots probably don't need buffing) ? Because I didn't. I feel they should at least tell us changes to the gate units are on the way, because man otherwise... As a Protoss I don't even know what would be strong about my race anymore.
But I still think that seeing how Blizzard approaches "change" now is a good thing. I feel like the sooner beta will start the better the results will be.
While I agree it's good that they seem willing to make larger changes, It's still really bad that they are making the same errors over and over. For some reason they have not yet understood that units which makes it impossible for the enemy to attack them are fun. Let's just look at some of the errors they IMO have made with LOTV:
- Siege tank dropplay (If you play zerg and don't have spire tech or doesn't have blink finished as toss, you can't do anything unless terran mess up).
- Cyclone (obviously).
- Carrier. Completley prevents any unit vs unit interaction with its new super long range as well. Reminds me of Swarm Hosts kinda.
- Swarm Hosts still isn't about unit vs unit interaction but is about attacking with free units every 60th second.
- For some reason they still seem totally unwilling to change the damage point of units (the time it takes for a unit to stand still before it attacks). Give Immortal 0 damage point, and it will synergize better with warp prism and can overall be microed better. You could also even give it 7 range to make it even more mobile and make it even better with the Warp Prism. No reason to make this 6range-Warp prism pick up thing. That's an unintuive and inefficient fix. Also Banshee should get 0 damage point instead of 7 range, the latter has a similar effect in terms of balance but rewards skill more.
- @ Lurker. Apparently they feel Cyclone should counter Lurker????? Siege Tank anyone?
In my opinion these "errors" are just indicaiton that they are not competent enough to create a game which can be much better than what HOTS already is.

The race is hilariously weak in the face of all these changes. They need a lot of radical changes.
Biggest issue for me btw is that Terran always seems to get so many fun toys. Sick good banshees, sick good tanks, sick good battle cruisers, sick good cyclones, ... And the stuff for zerg and protoss looks "okayish", even the Lurker is a little underwhelming(although I'm still suuper happy about it)
(EDIT: Not talking about balance here, but the general ideas behind it.)
