What is the change to mining you/people are looking for?
Changing the stale 3.25 base cap to something more dynamic. Spreading the 3 base cap over a wider area is so unbelievably boring compared to actually making an effective 4th-5th base viable it hurts.
Which is why, I imagin, they are making all the races more mobile and given them ways to break turteling players.
It's also not just about mobility, but also about army-size count in midgame. If they want to balance this game around spreading out more, then protoss needs a big buff in terms of its armysize in the midgame.
But even if we assume that they manage to "balance" it, it's still a solution that will create snowball effects, and it's why I agree with Lalush comments on "choking out the opponent". If you get an advantage in midgame, then the enemy just can't fall back for 2-3 minutes and then get back. Instead, he will be signifciantly behind in economy and will slowly be killed.
With the BW economy, if you was behind bases by like 2 to 4, but had equal worker count, you was maybe only at a 25% disadvantage. But with this LOTV economy, the enemy will have twice as much income as you. That is not the way you create a back-and-fourth game.
Moreover, I also question whether it really can add diversity in playstyles. If all units have to be super mobile to function into this spread-out economy, is that really a desireable solution then?
So an economy that forces players to constantly take new bases doesn't work. Instead, the economy must reward players for taking extra bases.
Found other showmatch, Zest + Jaedong vs. SoO + Polt, but sadly it isn't English cast, can't find English cast at all. :/
ZvP looks alot more better than ZvT. Btw is funny how they trying hit fast units with ravager without fungal.And corruptors looks very weak vs buidings.Not like on that video on first page.

Blizzard with very ambitious new Starcraft game . Balancing this shit will be a pain in the ass ... Also i don't know why blizzard is making the game faster then it already is , and i don't know why everyone including blizzard thinks that playing defensive and turtling is a bad thing . Players should be given options to play defensive or offensive , playing mindless aggression all the time is not fun , planning macro oriented builds has always been the standart winning strategy .
hehe like people said if everything is op its balanced, just super hard to play, because its so easy to get someone off guard. But thats why bw was such a nice viewer experience. Weird Stuff happened all the time. Well if you kill the early game there can be less weird stuff heh.

No BW worked because there was (almost) no units which had such an extreme advantage that it hardcountered enemy units. The Cyclone or Siege Tank drop doesn't fulfill that criteria.
Honestly, this LOTV alpha is (besides the Lurker) almost as far away from BW as you can come.
