i dont think they hate starcraft but they dont want it to be a good game but want it to bring much money. just forcing new units in the game although they are absolutely not fitting in the game. reminds me of pokemon; just add more and more stuff to get more sells but the game gets shittier and shittier.

Ugh.. they are buffing everything. This is going to make the game even more volatile. I've already skipped on HOTS and it seems that I'll do the same with LOTV. It's heartbreaking to seem my favourite competitive franchise die a slow and painful death, due to pure game-design incompetence.

Lol, no that's not what I was saying. But there have been more lots of people talking about their RTS team working mainly on Heroes and so on. Also this is alpha. This is not pre-alpha. If the rumours are true closed beta is starting in two months so the time to polish everything is running out on them.

WoL and HotS are ultimately very similar to one another, whereas LotV is going to have massive changes. I've spent a lot of time playing WoL and HotS and I really like them. I do not like what I am seeing about LotV. Literally going to lose something that I love doing and watching if these changes go through. It's pretty sad. So yes, whining. And lots of it -_- No one is going to take your 1a Protoss deathball away; you can still play HOTS.
If anything the game is heading more in that direction; cutting out early aggression and making it harder to hit quick timings by nerfing warp-in speed (i.e. it's harder to warp in offensively but not at home where your deathball is. The changes push protoss more in that direction while cutting out fun aggressive options as much as possible. Warp prism harass is pretty much dead with the warp-in changes.

I just think they need to : - change less but change better. - if they want to make the game more action packed, have mistakes being less punished (no more widow mines that kill every worker/baneling for instance) so that multitask is encouraged and one mistake doesn't end up being insurmountable.
The ambition is great, but they can't afford lazy design. It's the last iteration of the franchise (at least as far as SC2 goes) and should aim at being competitive for 10+ years.

i like the broad changes in terms of the type of gameplay issues they're addressing. this could be that they hit on some key things that needed to be changed in order to hit that magical level of interaction that is needed to make a good game. i am very excited about these changes, although i am terrified of actually playing 1v1s in this new game lol ... thank blizzard for casual mode, i guess.

I remember they said once that they did not want to go beyond BW level of number of units. That's the reason why I'm a bit surprised to see so many additions, especially since some of them are uncalled for. I would have expected more of an overhaul of units not working well + maybe a new building per race and 1-3 new units overall, not that at all because it'll be a nightmare to balance ! But after all, if they want to make their life more difficult and it results in a more enjoyable game, why not !

How is warp prism harass dead? Most of the times your units won't be attacked while warping in. Also it reduces your defensive options too, for example if you are being dropped or being attacked by a ling runby you can't warp in units right there so easily.
Early aggression isn't cut out at all. You just have early cheese with more units because of the better economy.
I disagree with this nerf and I think (hope) it won't pass the beta but I don't see it changing the game drastically.
