Am speechless At a first glance it looks like Toss got the shorter end of the stick, though nothing is set in stone. As hard as it may be we have to trust in Blizzard to make the right calls after the actual testing. Just all stop with the whine already. This is the avilosation of the SC community. Pitiful. Why shouldn't I whine? Almost everything that has been announced goes counter to the things that I actually like about the game. If the game is released as described then I already know that I will not like it =/ EDIT: It's almost like a completely different game. WoL and HotS are ultimately very similar to one another, whereas LotV is going to have massive changes. I've spent a lot of time playing WoL and HotS and I really like them. I do not like what I am seeing about LotV. Literally going to lose something that I love doing and watching if these changes go through. It's pretty sad. So yes, whining. And lots of it -_-
I can get what you're feeling. It seems like a new game, but in the end I'm ready to bet the overall feeling will remain the same. I agree it's strange to make such radical changes, especially since they did not seem to be needed, but people seem to like it (I don't) and overall it can be great to rejuvenate the game. Then again, they can mess it up too and throw the game into oblivion.

it seems in lotv protoss will be even more deathball oriented then in wol. warpgate nerf disencourages harass because the units are more vulnerable while being warped in which encourages the players to just sit in their base and wait for 200/200. on top of that zerg gets a midgame unit that breaks FF??) srsly wtf? nerf gateway units even more so that toss is even more reliant on the collossus? this sounds absolutely terrible. but why focus on making the game more fun when you can just fuck up the economy system people are used to since 2010. it seems they want to know how fast sc2 can be destroyed by making the most terrible changes possible. If this goes through it will be the end of competitive RTS

Right now it's not even preliminary, they presented their ideas with the units and the rough direction of where they _think_ they are going. We all know how that worked out for the warhound and that other Protoss unit turning into cheaper units. I'm sorry for being smart enough that I'm able to see from trailers alone that these changes would be terrible for my enjoyment of the game. I doubt they're going to take back smaller bases. I doubt they're going to take back the number of starting workers. Discounting everything else, those two changes alone make me not want this game. If those changes go through then Blizzard can go fuck themselves.

Is there a return interceptors button on the carriers or do you have to fly the carriers in range of the interceptors to not lose them on the timer?

Yes, gateway units HAVE to get significant tweaks in numbers. Otherwise protoss will not be able to win a game. It's completely impossible to take away photon overcharge vs air, introduce a counter to forcefields early on for zerg and introduce a gigantic warpgate nerf, without significantly strengthening gateway units to compensate for it.

I dunno why gateway units should be buffed after that tiny nerf to wg. The nerf doesnt do much in the long run anyway. So nothing is really changing.

64 pages of comments that proves that this community is awful, it's been 4 years of people crying about economy, units, too much turtling, deathballs, Blizzard don't want to change anything, bla bla bla bla...
Now that Blizzard changed pretty much everything you should be hyped as fuck to learn a new rts, this is a StarCraft II, not a meh copy of broodwar with some different unit and boring game pace. You can like it, or you can hate it, but please don't start again the elitist "new starcraft is shit, it's better the previous one".. I'm already hating the "vanilla sc2 lovers vs bw elitist vs LotV players"
