Too bad none of the newer maps are in the poll, i thought it was about making the perfect map pool and the new maps this season were pretty good. Instead its just some mediocre old maps with the exeption of Whirlwind and Habitation Station which are really good imo. Man, you have no idea of fun ! Why play on good maps when we can have preposterously bad ones which will get old after two days of laddering and everyone will veto ? Seriously, what a party pooper. Habitation, Whirlwind, Bel'shir, Ohana, Daybreak, Cloud Kingdom and Neo Planet for me Ha ha, do you really think XNC, Metalopolis and Steppes of War will be left behind by all the morons who'll be so happy to spoil the pleasure of laddering for all serious players ? Good choices by the way, voted more or less the same maps as you. Well yeah I know, but all we can do is hope I guess

lol voted with two accounts one went all macro maps and the other all super small crazy maps like xelnaga and steps. this season is going to be so bad lol might only play the first week even if i get the macro map pool(whirlwind, akilon, etc) just dont have a good feeling about this season. Tbh i think this could make or break sc2 atm either set it way back and make ppl stop playing cause this map pool was a bad idea, or change the meta up like crazy and then 2015 map pool all new and bam best game ever again. I guess we will just have to wait and se. GL everyone (especially if we get the crazy small rush map pool)

Yeah, and? That's what I want. You think I care if I lose some extra ladder games? It's fun, and I look forward to this ladder season.

If I learn any one thing from this experience, it's that we need more snow maps.

Neo Planet S was soooo good.I'm not sure why but I loved this map and I want it back!!!

Yeah, Neo Planet S produced a ton of good games. It is also right around the time when ProLeague became really good, so maybe that's another reason (besides being awesome) why we remember it so fondly.

Yeah, as fun as playing table tennis with a frying pan. Fun for a day, until you realize there's a reason paddles aren't frying pans. Paddles (with spin-heavy sides or long pips) give a depth to table tennis you'll never achieve with frying pans. Same with Steppes of War vs Bel'shir Vestige.

This is one of the many things that SC2 needs (and be balanced around). Maps these days are boring and pretty much the same. Things are getting slightly better with Blizzard allowing some gold base maps in the pool, but I hope maps can grow to be more creative and utilise SC2's editor features. Of course, these hopes are with respect to SC2's one-dimensional units/gameplay, so I am not sure it is possible.
LotV? Last chance, Blizzard.

I like the choices.

The only good thing that could come from a dumb beyond words choice like yours is educational : weeks of playing on those broken maps might make stupid people realize why maps are designed the "boring" way they are today...
EDIT : I admit I could use a less agressive tone, but Steppes of War really sets my teeth on edge. Sorry if anyone felt offended.

Oh god please Xelnaga Caverns! It kind of blows my mind that it was once one of the best maps we had in the pool.
