Stronger color is nice but it could use some touch-ups. It is kind of ugly looking, and could be done a bit better IMO

Yep, on some units it's more or less ok, but some look terrible. Like banelings' color is way too oversaturated. Then again, we're probably the minority so they won't change anything.

In fact I don't like gameheart or any other overlay at all, never had a problem watching any matches with default observer options.
Although I also understand why they are needed - to compensate some of observers' mistakes and so they (observers) can pay more attention to what's going on, rather than switching between army/production/etc tabs over and over again.

It's also so you can fit more information on the screen while simultaneously increasing the view of the battlefield by reducing UI space.

I disagree. In mirror match-ups it's wonderful to be able to tell who's forcefield/time warp/scan/baneling is who's.

Fix the red archons(!@#!@!!!@#$!@$!!$@) and I am good with strong colors. I cannot remember how the colossus look, so it is OK. Though I think strong colors should be used ONLY in mirrors. Why do I have to see glowing baneling(no matter how cute it is) when it PvZ or TvZ? I think everybody can tell the difference between red and blue player by, I don't know, race? I know, I know, it's racist ><

Edit: Also congratz to GH!
I imagine France should be able to take this unless Lilbow is busy practicing for Starcraft III. | KadaverBB is my fairy ban mother.

No accounting for taste.

Strong colours should be standard across the board, particularly good for casters, not to mention allowing viewers to more easily distinguish units on screen, particularly on lower-res streams.

When strong colors was introduced there was many people, myself included, that didn't like it and thought it went over the top. As for the UI, you want to reduce screen clutter from all the information (supply, production, upgrades, etc..) but what DreamHack just recently used was way to tiny in my opinion. You shouldn't have to strain to see the information when in fullscreen mode. I have nothing against the layout of the UI my main concerns are the size and stronger colors.

Dreamhacks setup is non-standard, that's up to their designers to sort out. The Gameheart 1v1 interface which everyone else uses is nothing like that and the sizing is absolutely fine.

As for strong colours, they aren't going anywhere and thank god for that, they're really important for viewability.

They could be implemented better on certain units. I very much like them on banelings, for example, but on other units (like the colossus) I just don't like how it looks.

well then ... why dont YOU make them look better and show them us, if they good i am sure they will be in soon ... but no its always whine and no idea how to make it better, i for myself like the stronger colors alot in mirrors and dont care in non mirrors but they not anoy me or anythn

It's not because you dunno HOW to do it that you can't say you don't like it. When watching stronger team color i feal the game is cartoony and i don't like it.

But it's true that ling/bling wars are way more visible with it. Abilities in mirrors are really nice (scan color etc... even if it looks funny with some colour) .

But well stc or not i'll watch. The only thing that annoys me a lot is supplies at the bottom at the screen. Because when you play you watch top. And when you look at a tournament you look down.

I don't understand why you would change it at the bottom of the screen.
