If you're referring to my post, "casual RTS experience" meant recreating the experience of playing BW/WC3 customs better than SC2 did. It's not a replacement for SC2 in terms of strategy. Also saying that LoL doesn't have strategy is a VERY stupid argument, so yes you shouldn't have brought it up. | ||

I'm not contradicting myself. Every competitive game has strategy in it. A game having strategy in it and a game being a strategy game are obviously not the same thing, otherwise basketball would be a strategy game. I took other people to be saying that MOBAs are strategy games. If I misunderstood, then that's my fault. If I didn't, then my point obviously stands. | ||

The add the fact on top of that that it's FREE - no wonder.. I however don't think of LoL as a "superior" game.. I treat it as a game that most people play.. To say that LoL is superior is like saying that Basketball is superior to Fencing or Football is superior to Ski-Jumping.. No offence - the "lesser" known things/sports have it's own beauty too.. only that I kinda feel (and sadden) that that "beauty" hasn't being properly nurtured.. Agree with the first guy who did the comparison despite my "pride" and sympathies for SC2 --> LoL is a superior game in NUMBERS, probably even FAR TOO SUPERIOR like 10x or even 20x as much, but that won't change the fact that the SC2 scene wasn't as good as it could've been and that it wasn't nurtured properly - as he himself said - upgrade costs and movement speed changes hardly did anything to make a meta-fix of some kind.. And agree with it and that kinda hurts TBH.. Call me a noob if you like - not saying that I'm good at it, but the game got "figured out" far too fast IMO, and even far too easily so that very soon all of us started to look at the same games over and over again (TvP didn't get changed a slight bit - if anything it got worse in some way, and TvZ was "break-entered" very soon as well - like the only really good fun matchup we were seeing was the PvZ until the Swarmhosts showed the truth of the late-game in that matchup too).. THAT is a really good reason for why SC2 isn't viewed/followed - or at least not quite as it could have been.. Not saying that it WAS THE REASON, but certainly a REASON THAT COULD'VE BEEN FIXED, but wasn't.. AGAIN - i'm not stating that SC2 could've been better and even comparable to LoL or D2 - what I'm saying is that feels like SC2 didn't achieve IT'S OWN FULL POTENTIAL.. Or at least that potential lasted far too short and now when all the matchups are figured out far too quickly Blizz does NOTHING to fix them and by that - it's frustrating y know | ||
