He actually asks thoughtful questions instead of 'How do you feel' as well. I don't care how they feel, I want to know what they think, and Chobra does a great job at that. Great lineup, would have loved to see Artosis or Day9 as well, but I really enjoy iNcontrols style and humour.
Really looking forward to this! They are 2 of the casters as seen above, the list in the OP is not for casters.

People need to realize one of the "analysts" needs to be the guy who facilitates the actual conversation and asks the questions to the people doing the real analysis. That pretty much fits for djwheat.

I can already feel the protoss bias on that analysis desk lol

The SC2 scene has a history of undervaluing the ability to speak and present properly as a skill

I may not be a djw fan, but he does have a skillset that could be put to good use here.

A bit worried about this, because multi-game events often tend to have less of a good crowd than SC2-only events (best example S3 finals with the AMAZING canadian crowd ). Runs one of the two weekly shows features SC2. Plays SC2 a lot, but also plays other games. I guess that is your standard for "leaving the scene". By that standard, a lot of the community has "left the scene" because, fuck it, we like games. And if your wondering why they didn't get Kaelaris, maybe he was busy or that huge fucking body of water and all the time zones didn't make it that appeal for him. Kaelaris simply wasn't invited.

Look.
The analysis desk is at its best when it is a debate. The idea is that you have a chair who directs the conversation and asks the obvious questions, then the analysts analyse, banter and so on.
I'm an experienced public speaker so even as a gold level Terran, I could ask the questions that I would want answered and assume that 80% of the populace wants the same questions answered. Then the analysts are able to agree or disagree as they see fit.
DJWheat is a great guy and I think it's annoying as hell that there are 8 pages of people failing reading comprehension just to slag him off. I read it and instantly understood what his role was.
The irony that a number of you will call me stupid for being gold is not lost on me.

You're stupid because you're gold league and have less than 2000 posts!
Seriously, this is a great line-up. If any of you watch the LoL productions, or are thinking back to this after the fact, having DJWheat will make the analyst segments much less awkward. I honestly hope that they get rid of the extremely pointless game recaps and replace it with an actual discussion/debate much akin to what the LoL season finals did with analysts & players.

I am confused with DJW being part of the analysis desk. Even if people say that he's the host, doesn't inControl fill in that role pretty well?
EDIT: Oh, I get it now! Yeah, with DJW's experience in talk show hosting, he would definitely be a good fit as a person who starts meaningful debates!

Awesome!! So stoked!
Missing Smix though... Her interviews and translations are great.

You have to understand that it´s the easiest way to take a dump on a public (i.e. larger than the viewer) figure, while hiding safely behind "objective" measures. Take that away from people and they go somewhere else to hate, leaving esports to die.

Don´t know the observers besides Adebisi, but it makes sense to not have Legend, since communication would likely be a problem. Other than that, I´m really glad they put such an emphasis on hosting. It makes the whole experience much more enjoyable, especially when one guy does not have to do the whole work. <3<3<3 Wheat.

Kaelaris would have been better than Wheat at the analyst desk but other than that looks awesome!
Now the whole cast of players, obs, host and casters is set I even more excited for WCS Finals.

Yeah, they decided to work with someone who lives I the US. Everyone from every part of the world can't be at every single event.

Really bummed about Wheat being there, like most other people are. Can't like a person who hops around scene to scene to try and make a quick buck off of their fanbase. It's clear he watches absolutely zero matches and doesn't give a shit about anything besides putting on his weekly show and streaming.
This is the same person who was streaming their starstriker (or w/e) tournament during the WCS S2 Finals and didn't make one peep about it. Maybe I'm just being negative, but fuck people like that.

No, most people are not bummed out about it, there's a few of the vocal minority complaining.
Also I'd like to point out that someone that does MULTIPLE shows every week with a heavy Starcraft focus is likely significantly better informed than any random forum poster would be. In addition to that, Wheat is the most experienced guy in the business and is an ideal anchor for a desk like that as a result. Nobody in this scene can hold a candle to him in that regard, he's done TV, he's done more events than the SC2 casters combined, he knows what he's doing.
Again as I mentioned earlier in the thread, this community criminally undervalues actual professional skills over this mythical ideal of "game knowledge" while the people who organise events value people who know what they're doing over whether or not they can predict a build 10 minutes before it happens.

DJWheat is pretty entertaining guy to be there and even if I don't love, I like it.

Maybe we will get to see the Plott brothers casting together. I'm pretty sure I've never seen that.
