(see, opinions) You can't compare a MOBA to an RTS. There are similar aspects that people may argue on, but overall they are completely different games that have their own set of skills that need to be developed. Just because a game isn't as "hard to play" as another certainly doesn't make it worse. (see, opinions) It's a shittier eSport because it's easier. If you enjoy playing an easier game, then that's up to you. People like you are the reason why hatred exists between LoL and SC2. People argue that it's easier, but when you look at DotA which is another MOBA not too radiaclly different from LoL no one hates on that.
dota is substantially harder then League, there's so much refined mechanics to it that league doesn't include. I think that's why its not bashed as hard. its not a bad thing, it just appeals to different types of players.

This is rather massive, though i can see why.

Farewell old friend.
He left a pretty worthy successor in Maru though :D
Really don't know what's up with all the League hate though.. it's a great game just like SC2

I'm happy about this. I hope to see him do big things, it would be good for SC2! If he made it to a big team it would be great exposure. Stemming from SC2 to gank them all.

Kayle, Leona, Jinx, Tristana, "hyper sexualized". rightttttttttttt............... Hey, DotA has Queen of Pain, perhaps a bit Lina and Crystal Maiden. LoL has how many already ? Ahri, Akali, Caitlyn, Elise, Evelynn, Fiora, Irelia, Janna, Katarina, LeBlanc, Nidalee, Miss Fortune, Morgana, Shyvana, Sona, Vayne, Zyra, Jinx, etc etc etc ? I mean comon, they had to redesign Sejuiani COMPLETLY because they got accused of sexism. LoL is full of fan service to a disgusting point. Wut. A good chunk of the ones you listed are not hypersexualized.

wish him luck, he'll need it to compete with the amount of talents already in the league. (plus an enormous amount of unsigned talents in solo-queue)

some of the dota mechanics are just silly relics.

i will never forget when he showed his marine micro vs banes in the first place. never.
i love starcraft and i don't like LOL at all. nvm. all the best OptimusPrime ^^.

Well gl for mkp, is no surprise he moved to lol since he wasnt showing good results in sc2 plus lol is becoming big in korea. i have time since playing a sc2 ladder match because i dont enjoy it anymore, i prefer to watch pro matches with some friends who also like watching wcs tournaments, dreamhack and etc. i decided to give lol a try, and i actually liked it. i think the best way to play lol is with friends you know, its a very fun experience, also is very appealing to the casual gamer which is why is so hot atm. i hope to see mkp in lol tourneys winning cash ;D that would be very good for him and for his followers.

People don't hate it, they're annoyed by it because it's a dumbed down DotA clone that has a rather obnoxious following.

MK you were what got me back into SC and i love you. however, goodbye and good riddance.

Out of all the retirements and moves, this one hit me a bit. I'm glad he's still active as a player and moving on. I won't forget his match against Kyrix in the GSL with the marine splits, marine strats, and marines just not dying.

Do people not get that LoL is this decade's Brood War in Korea? The growth of Brood War into the massive sensation it was was a natural, organic growth that started from being the game that everyone played in PC Bangs. Well, the same thing happened with LoL there. It's an insanely popular game in Korea to play AND to watch. Regardless of how you feel about how Riot handles its business, LoL is as big as it is in Korea solely because people there love it. Its common knowledge that many sc2 pros have side LoL accounts they play for fun.
Now look at MKP's decision objectively. He's struggling to stay relevant in a fringe game that he no longer enjoys playing. League has all the fans, the big crowds, the girls, the massive worldwide appeal, and the money. The Boxer and Flash of this era wont be sc2 players, it'll be guys like Faker and whoever comes next. MKP has insane mechanical talent and drive, and is still very young, of course he is going to take this opportunity. As someone who watched GSL from the start, its very sad to see sc2 lose him, but I'd much rather know theres a chance of him dazzling crowds with his insane mechanics a year from now, as small as it might be, than have to hear about him struggling in code-B qualifiers for a year or 2 before retiring.

This is kind of a ridiculous argument when Dota2 only has 10 human looking female heroes compared to leagues 28, it's not a good base to compare to begin with. In fact part of my problem with Dota2's art design is that there are so many forgettable "monster-thing" heroes, attractive men and women are much preferred to me.

Maybe not the default designs, but once you get into the realm of paid skins, well..
