Seeker Translation:

(T)Farewell MarineKingPrime (SC2)

Source: inven

-MarineKing has always had an interest in LoL.
-Three months ago, he officially began his preparation to become a LoL pro player
-MarineKing wishes to replicate his presence and achievements in the SC2 scene for the LoL scene
-Currently is ranked Diamond on LoL
-Announced on the 9th that he was on Prime's LoL team, "Optimus Prime" as the sixth player
-Stated in the interview that, "I will never forget my fans that cheered me on for years. I will show a brand new form with that in mind. I did change professions but I will make sure to put on that fiery performance that my fans love on the LoL stage also." "I plan on officially starting my LoL career through the upcoming winter qualifiers so I hope a lot of people will cheer me on for that. I hope a lot of people will tune in to and support our newly released teams, Optimus Prime, and Sentinel Prime."
-Supervisor Gerrard stated that, "Since MarineKing was such a prestigious player for the SC2 scene, there will be a lot of anticipations for him regarding his switch. I expect MarineKing to become a great player in no time at all. He's lived the life of a professional gamer for quite some time now so I'm sure he'll have an influence on his amateur teammates as well.

Blizzard killing eSports, as usual.

I haven't heard much about him and SC2.. All I know is that he got knocked out of Code A... He used to stream a lot too, but haven't seen him in forever..

Perhaps?

Perhaps at least a brief summary of what that article says, to go with that op?

Sad, but true, he is switching to LoL.
Celebrating Starcraft since... a long time ago.

I see a bunch of Korean that I don't trust Google translate with.

I can't read any Korean, but I've heard that he follows League and was also seen in the crowd at Yongsan for OGN Champions.

All I can see with some google translate is that the article is about the 2 newly founded Prime League teams.
It would kind of surprise me if he switched, though.

its not question mark.
it says he has been getting ready to be a programer in LoL for about 3 months now.

The article title says he has OFFICIALLY announced his change to fucking LOL

Would be so sad if true. Biggest retirement in SC2 history (unless im forgetting something, yes im remembering idra lol) imo. He just meant so much to Terran since 2010 really.

Even as a DRG fan i would be devastated.

I'm curious how many progamers who switch games (as a player, not as a coach) actually do well in the new game. Or if it is just one last effort to stay in eSports before moving on.

Success seems to be rare across genres. SeleCT and BabyKnight are the two that come to mind off the top of my head. I'm sure there's more. Oh, iceiceice, there's another.

switching from bw to starcraft 2 isn't as huge of a jump as switching from a completely different rts to starcraft or the other way

I think they mean the kind of game. Otherwise, it applies to anyone who ever played SC2.

I don't blame him either, especially considering his performance dropping off.

I hope he isn't. MC is often seen playing some LoL off to the side. We have his Teemo ceremony, and I think there was a screenshot of him playing a bit of LoL in the ESL studio right before one of his WCS EU matches.
