Yes, it's prerry rare. I haven't heard of any SC2 progamers who ever made it, although there are some former BW progamers who made it onto pro teams in Korea (however they switched a lot earlier obviously. now it's a little late perhaps?)

Well CoCa and sC came back from LoL (I think) and are currently doing pretty well. Maybe he'll come back, maybe he won't. Still kinda sad.

Wouldn't be a huge suprise. MKP hasn't done anything in HotS.

People need to stop the "hasn't done anything" spouting in general, because most of the time, they're dead wrong. MKP has made one of the three HotS WCS, and narrowly didn't make it into the second after a close U/D group. He then played U/D to get into the third one. He did fine.

If this is true, then a major part of my love for esports just got flushed down the toilet.
MKP has been my favorite player since his first sc2 tourney, and a strong reason that I got into this game.
I've played LoL a fair bit but don't enjoy it, sad that it's taken so many of my sc2 friends and now possibly my favorite player.

Yeah, Im actually cheering more for the Bullets even when I havent played a single game of LoL at all.

Even as a DRG fan i would be devastated.
Stephano is the biggest imo. Guy had achievements, skill, innovation, and knew how to get the fans going. So yeah, him.

Grape was the only one who made good on the transfer and became a good LoL player.

It's smart of him, the whole Korean scene is surviving off foreign charity, even if that charity is being hidden by harsh-sounding statements like "foreigners shouldn't get affirmative action".
Actually that shows how NOT dead foreign SC2 is, we have enough fans and energy from those fans to support two scenes, which makes up for Korea being not being able to support any.
Really the opposite of BW where foreigners where motivated to get good by the promise of eventually being able to play in Korea, today's Koreans play SC2 with dreams of getting on EG or TL and playing in front of more than 5 people in Gangnam.

It would be ironic too since MKP seemed like someone who legitimately liked sc2 in the past, or at least that's what I interpreted out of seeing his good micro and crazy strats, especially the insane troll-like strats that he even pulled off in a few tournaments like lifting to the gold base or winning with just hellions against Haypro.

If this is true, I'm gonna be so sad.

Select sure as hell didn't do well in Dota2.

wtf... SIGH this is pretty depressing news. I don't want to hop on the SC2IS DYING wagon, but this is just so sad to hear

His choice ultimately. I hope he does well

Brief summary: MKP has been following LoL scene for awhile, and started actually playing about 3 months ago. He will be on team 'Optimus Prime' on that was made in October 9th.

Thanks i'll update OP

He's joining as a backup for Prime's LoL team which consists of bunch of amateurs put together at the last minute. More than likely, they won't get through the qualifier, like many other rushed teams formed w/ solo q'ers.
The team names are Optimus (one w/ Marineking) and Sentinel.
