You preferring that 'aesthetic' to monsters, or there being some characters that aren't sexualized as a primary feature, are not exclusive to the game having more of it than DotA. QoP is a dominatrix, and the other female heroes have some pretty sizable chests, but it kind of ends there, I don't see how this is a discussion? Most fantasy games all have the same design philosophy when it comes to female heroic characters. Fairly large breasts, thin waists, and/or skimpy armor/clothing. Neither Dota 2 nor League is an exception to that, nor is anything Blizzard makes, for that matter (WoW in particular). And no, it's not just QoP that's extremely revealing. Take a look at Venge, whom everyone seems to have forgotten about. Entire chest, midriff, and thighs areas are showing. Anyway, I don't think either side is innocent in this case. If you look at Drow vs Ashe, they have almost the same figure, outfit, and amount of skin showing. It doesn't matter which game has numerically more "sexualized" female characters, when it's pretty apparent that the design philosophy is similar in both. Riot, in recent releases, has at least tried to get away from this a little more. Jinx has a very small frame and very flat chest, and is meant to be attractive due to her crazy personality rather than sexy body.

I like LoL myself, cheered for SKT1 for the finals. I'm going to be lynched around here, but I hope another popular pro player switches to Dota 2 or LoL, carry their fanbase with them and make blind "supporters" see that MOBAs/ARTS/whatever you call it aren't that bad. THEN they can make an informed decision whether to support sc2 or a moba. There's a reason team games are being played more and more even though they're frustrating lots of times (especially in soloQ).

Time to take my rage out on everyone else on the internet.

Well, iceiceice played SC2 competitively at one point. Babyknight and Select came from Dota into SC2 as well i think. mouz.black considered switching to SC2 as well.

I'm a bit more exasperated by riot putting Caitlyn in a nautghy cop costume or Vayne in a sexy valentine miniskirt than I am by Vengeful Spirit tho.. And I would be fine with Jinx if she wasn't such an Harley Quinn rip-off, which is a very sexualized concept even if she's flat breasted. I mean, look at her trailer, the lip-biting and the scene in the money bath aren't enough to put her into fan service character for you ? And the reason Ashe and Drow are so similar looking is probably because they were made by the same fucking person. I know Guinsoo didn't invented Sylvanas, but it's just obvious. Sexualized characters can mean a lot for a game like this, like how much people cosplay your characters, or how much fan art is made for your game. I'm not overly chocked by game compagnies doing it, and I know DotA heroes are probably a lot less like that because of Warcraft 3 models limitations, but that fact obviously help LoL be a more attractive game for the casual audience in Asian and somewhat Western culture.

I mean, I'd still say League has an edge because of some(a lot of) skins and their associated splash screens, and it 'feels' like Riot is more willing to use the female cast as a selling point a lot more, that last point is entirely subjective though. There are some MMOs that are seriously next level about it, we can all come together and hate them instead! Jinx is a great example of how it's clearly not just the clothing though, because she's wearing less than most characters that would be pointed at as examples of fan service. I hesitate to say it's pretty much entirely on the figure, but maybe it is, part of me wants to put on an awesome 'evolved' face and then part of me just thinks 'if only she had an ass,' maybe I'm just a terrible person =[

What makes LoL so much more appealing? Being relatively new to ARTS/MOBA/whatever, I don't understand why an (arguably) uglier, (arguably) easier game would be preferred by so many more people. Can someone enlighten me? Same reason why more people play WoW over other MMOs, even though Wow is a "(arguably) uglier, (arguably) easier game"
