Well Tastosis did cast WC3 in 2009. Possibly as a bit of a joke, but still.

The biggest game in Korea, by a wide, gigantic margin currently is League of Legends, a game that kids can play casually with their friends at PC Bangs and at home.

Rts players would most likely not leave for LoL and stick with sc2 if its as enjoyable as bw

If it was one or two person I'd agree, but there are too much of them, hence the "crowd". You say Blizzard won't do anything. Ofc they won't, if community remains silent and pretend satissfied. Major people like Incontrol, DJ Wheat, Day 9 need to speak up. And hit Blizzard with a large force to shaken them up. But they dont wanna, cause they like things "the way they are". Eventhough scene is stagnant and slowly losing its fandom to LoL/Dota2/WoT. And rofl. Tastosis casting WoT, could you imagine that back when sc2 was announced. Flash translation is a bit off. I read the original Chinese transcript, he was saying there is no crowd and so it wasn't as fun playing sc2 compared to the high point if bw popularity

Revive a 10 years old, long forgotten game? I guess Diablo 3 was made with Esports in mind as well? I guess Diablo 3 was great success? I hope they fail even harder with the expansion and leave the franchise alone. upd: about multiplayer, I don't even need to say anything myself, nuff said. Google battlenet 0.2 and introduce yourself to all kinds of dumb actions blizzard have made on that front.

I ignored Cloud as he is not a Korean pro. Heck, he was barely a European pro and was a serial whiner. As to MC and Flash - did you even bother to read what you linked me? MC opens his post with "In my opinion, I think Starcraft II is a really well-made game" and then talks about a problem (amongst other things) in a specific match-up - which may or may not be relevant anymore after Innovation vs DRG. Flash talks about the SC2 scene not being as exciting, and like MC talking about problems in a specific match up, talks about TvP (amongst other things). Where do you come up with this nonsense of "SC2 is bad"? Moreover, even if they are disappointed, there is no indication that the reasons they are disappointed are the same for why you (or "the crowd") are disappointed. Who is right? You? Flash? MC? "The crowd"? If returning a thread to something decent and worth reading is backseat moderating then hell, yes, I was. I usually avoid most threads in SC2 General because they are pretty shitty - especially when it comes to design/balance issues. Are you telling me I should expect the same in a retirement thread for a great from now on? Good to know. Thanks. As to the rest, please don't assume that you or "the crowd" are synonymous with the community. Get over yourself. I'm not going to address the rest of your repetitive peurile drip. It's a waste of time and another derailment of this thread.

I've seen afreeca and i have never seen bw progamers play sc2 AT least once. If you guys don't know who shinee is.. well he played sc2 for a while and reached masters. Everyone thought he quit bw and he came back saying ehhh idc about that game ill stick to bw. Sea is also the one who bravely sad "sc2 bad" look guys.. these progamers don't want a butthurt fanbase. They do not like the game. Why the hell would they like the game rofl?

Meanwhile cloud was an extremely relevant pro no too long ago. But keep staying positive.

It's a waste of time and yet another derailment of this thread. So, saying "NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO" is better than expressing our feelings and reasons why its happening? Again, none of Pros will ever say "SC2 is bad" since its not right towards their friends, team and community. But you need to read between the lines. For example: http://www.teamliquid.net/forum/viewmessage.php?topic_id=427274, it says Jangbi lost interest, it means he doesn't find it fun. Hence he must be dissapointed with the game, or otherwise, great talent that he is why would he leave the game? Or this one: http://www.teamliquid.net/forum/viewmessage.php?topic_id=397825. Darkforce boldly states that the game isn't fun for him. Fact is, not fun game is a bad game. Its subjective ofc, but you can see the trend. /ninja'd

If you're so into brood war, maybe you can respect one of the all time greats by not derailing the thread about his retirement any more. There are plenty of places to discuss SC2 vs BW until you're blue in the face but this is not one of them. Sad to see Bisu gone (and Best and Jangbi)... soon everyone I knew when I started following BW will be gone =(

Its what actually keeps the game and its devs from doing significant changes to the game that no doubt needed to be done as early as WoL beta. There is a lot of denial involved here.

But what I was trying to say is that Diablo 3 was made even though Diablo 2 didn't have a pro-scene *gasp*. So your claim that SC2 was only made possible by the likes of Bisu, JD, Flash... ROFL... delusional... Again, I am not disrespecting Bisu for what he did to bring the BW pro scene to its heights... But eSports is only a small part of the equation for titles like Starcraft. Bowling is one of the most popular recreational sports in the US. Do you think it is due to the HUGE pro bowling scene?
