i dont understand how overseer speed is supposed to help z keep up with 3 base bio rally when the biggest issue is the mechanical skill required/higher difficulty of controlling from z than t ?
how in the world in what planet was detection the problem? did they ask a z pro and they were like "WE REALLY NEED OVERSEER SPEED" ??

The reason why mech is useless in TvZ is because of Vipers and Swarmhosts.
They are meant to counter mech. Thats why all the new zerg units are going away in TvZ and
We are only watching Wings of Liberty TvZ with "Widow Mine" and more often drops and harrassments.

Full is a bit extensive, half sounds good though. Combining upgrades again, interesting to see they are actually going back and trying it but I think the problem with mech still lies elsewhere. Overseer speed upgrade seems fair.

Well lets be fair, Blizzard has said when they ask pro players about balancing the game, they mostly just want the other races nerfed so they can win. That’s not very helpful feedback.

I'm really skeptic with that air + mech combined. We always have to wait and see, but that would make terran transitions to a step above anything the other races could achieve. I know mech is vulnerable against air, but transitioning into brood lords or tempests and instantly face 3/3 vikings doesn't feel right.

I agree completely. There needs to be something else to deal with widow mines because the sheer amount of control involved is ridiculous for the zerg.

I do like the viper buff, however, as it does help zerg out if certain situations,

THey don't actually want mech in TvZ but they want more dynamic play in TvP of a better switch for hellbats was the actual analysis lol

What I don't understand is why they try to make mech a thing. Isn't bio/tank play good enough? Why do they HAVE to make a certain playstyle a part of the meta?

The viper buff is the dumbest thing i have ever seen since the proposed buff to sentries/archons/templar to make them immune to fungal. I can't belive this.

IMO protoss needs some kind of buff or new upgrade, because any map without a 3rd base hugging the natural basically forces a 2base all in. Yea, you can take a 3rd on some of these maps, but it's not safe without already having a big lead.

I watch so many top protoss get picked apart for trying to hold 3rd bases on many maps that don't have "free" 3rd base. This has been an issue for so long with protoss, why is it stil so? Momma core is inadequate. As a terran player in hots, I feel like a 2 base all in should be an option, not forced and then protoss late game could be better balanced if they are able to reliably and consistently take a 3rd and hold it. I watch so many protoss die when taking a 3rd AFTER zerg has one or terran has a completed 3rd orbital. Protoss needs better turtle mechanics, I feel like toss is the turtle race for macro play, yet has vastly inferior options available to do so when compared to terran or zerg.

TLDR
I'm just not ready to say that zerg needs buffs, or terran needs buffs, and protoss should be ignored with how poor protoss is performing at the highest levels (ro4 and up in most major tourneys)

They want to improve mech yet they're buffing the hard counter Zerg anti-Mech tool at the same time.

Awesome logic.

What the Viper needs is a rework to Blinding Cloud that makes it better vs Bio and weaker vs Mech. The Unit itself right now is far too narrow focused. It's a borderline overpowered unit vs Mech compositions and completely useless vs Bio/Mine. Changing what energy it starts with changes none of that.

Whoa whoa whoa, lets not get out of control here. No hero units in SC2. Though if I could get colossi to shoot in a straight line, that would be pretty awesome.
