ah looks like liquipedia had the same problem. I'll go ahead and change both http://wiki.teamliquid.net/starcraft2/IEM_Season_VIII_-_Shanghai/American_Qualifier
edit Aligulac and liquipedia should be updated to reflect those matches removed now

The name Aligulac is derived from that of the Roman emperor Caligula, so if you can pronounce that, all you have to do is shift the C to the end and you're good to go.

Nice to hear you're getting some attention, keep up the good work!

Does this mean that you hate macro games and are killing eSports?
But seriously, that's an interesting choice. Why him?

Aligulac, as a word, was initially formed when Eivind and a fellow classmate were doing programming exercises for school. As a fake company, Aligulac bought and sold however many units of product that Eivind needed for his classwork. Imaginary, yes, but as all faux-companies tend to be, highly successful. Later, Aligulac doubled as an excellent name for a soccer team.
In 2009, Eivind earned his masters degree in industrial mathematics, in his hometown of Trondheim, Norway. Shortly thereafter, as an intern for ETH Zurich, he found a Ph.D. project that allowed him to stay in Switzerland, where he currently lives and works.
Watching GSL inspired him to write a fun program that could say how likely it would be for a player to advance from an Up and Down group, based on a player’s rating. Combining Team Liquid and sc2charts.net data, Eivind created his own prediction method, based on the Glicko rating system. Eivind decided to make this system available publicly and brought back his go-to name for such projects to create aligulac.com. http://www.esfiworld.com/interview-with-eivind-fonn-founder-of-starcraft-2-statistics-and-ranking-site-aligulac/
I have no idea why TheBB picked that name, why does anyone pick random names besides them sounding cool?

Thanks for all your good wishes. I'm still on a semi-hiatus until the end of August (more or less). I still have volunteers who code stuff (Prillan, you're cool), but it's not as fast as it used to be. All the credit for keeping the data up to date belongs to the team.

When I needed a domain name to play around with, that's the one I got, and when I needed a domain to put this site on, I just used the one I had laying around. If I had known that this was going to become a thing I might have chosen a better name. I think it's stuck now though...

FlamingCow.tv Open 1 Group Stage Group C 2013-03-02 Scarlett CA Z 0–2 P US Astrea This gained you a higher place, and also gave Life and VortiX +1 point. :D
Whenever we add matches that are way old, I always fear how much it changes due to the interdependence of who beat who at what time.

I was the one who tweeted this idea to you guys!

whoa Jim nearly caught up to Scarlett, and he is past TLO and Nerchio in points??

Aligulac is fantastic and those reports are great ! You deserve what you get from the casters/tournament producers, etc. Even Nerchio loves you, that's huge ! :D

Do Koreans still start at 1200 and offline is worth 1.5 times online? I also noticed Mvp's spike early 2011 is lower and is thereby no longer in the all-time top 5--was this from an individual change in his results or an overall change? Thirdly I saw that foreigners jumped up a bit in the HoF -- changes there?
