I am forced to make a very hard call and have decided to move back to the east coast to get my old job back because I haven't been able to find work and with no financel support from my streaming I am out of time. I literally had to make this very hard decision yesterday and now will be leaving on Monday for a good 2000+ mile drive......... So I will be gone from streaming for who knows how long until I get settled again. (Sorry viewers, but I'll be back soon for those who watch) I just can't seem to understand the issue with own3d.tv.... It is a 50/50 shares so 50% of what you make revenue wise goes to them so they shouldn't have any money issues? It did cause me a huge mess in RL.... I just wish that if Own3d.tv was having issues they would just come straight out and say it! Then I could of prepared for the worse a long time ago. | ||

edit: yes, I know this isn't going to happen.  I just wish someone WOULD actually stand up to them and sue for once. A lot of gamers are young kids who are just being taken advantage of by companies and sponsors. | ||

Of course, without seeing the contract and the rest of the information needed, I can only go with the presumption and cannot be 100% certain. What strikes me the as the most surprising fact of all of this is just how problematic Own3d seems to be and how little I have heard about it. Esports as a whole does seem to have issues (and drama) when it comes to contracts and finances. But reading through many comments where people speak of their own problems with Own3d, I just find it hard to believe that more of these sort of threads have not come out. This sort of situation (as well as other situations) really does make me sad because it ultimately hurts and hinders the growth of Esports. How is Esports expected to be taken seriously when we have companies that are suppose to be there for their employees/contractors and end up acting in such an unprofessional manner. | ||

I'd imagine streaming sites would be a bit more complicated as there'd be some calculations on exactly how much you earn, but here I'm thinking 1 or 2 months max. | ||

While he might be the biggest douchebag, he still has worked for the money that Own3d has promised. To me it seems like Own3d is financially in a really bad shape. More and more players are coming out with the exact same problem with Own3d, people who are with Own3d right now are moving to another platforms (mostly Twitch) etc. | ||
