I feel Twitch.tv have been good with getting all the major events and having an awesome layout where i can quickly see what games are beeing streamed and such. Its just a very enjoyable design with a nice chat feature as well. But its really bad for us that Own3d disappears since competition is needed to get better products out there. I didn't mean their service is amateurish, I don't have a strong opinion on that. But you HAVE to know how much money it will take to get out and make sure you have that amount at the end. Delaying payments is an issue but hey, that's life for a money-losing tech company. But at the very end of the day, you can't just throw your hands up and say sorry but you're not paying your vendors and contractors. I said before that screaming is unhelpful because it won't make them pay faster, but...now's the time to start screaming at people, if nothing else to make sure you're on the list of people they have to pay first.

Content provider (in this case the streamer) Station (in this case Own3d) Agency (advertiser contracts agencies to make media buys for them) Advertiser Any third-party AR/AP contracted by the above entities to handle cash receipts/payments (it gets even worse since of the contracts/company practice is a 90-day turn around for payment - imagine if the entire chain operates under this assumption) I have seen over 1 1/2 years delay in some instances due to the factors above. This is why sometimes on smaller TV networks some shows might be cancelled abruptly. They don't have the capital to keep on providing content while waiting for payments. The TV stations don't have the capital to just front them the money while they wait for payment from the agencies, who are waiting for the advertisers. I am not saying there is no blame in Own3d's hands. Maybe there is. I don't know. But if they are not organized, it would only exacerbate the issue.

This isn't really fair to streamers who switched from twitch over to own3d.tv. I'd be losing out on 5k or so that own3d.tv owes. This is a big blow to 6 months of wasted time. In the real legal world something like this shouldn't be the case and I will probably fight for whats owed as it had a huge impact on my life.
