Correction: Daily ESPORTS mistakenly reported earlier that Jaedong would return to Team Eight immediately should they find a sponsor. This was a misunderstanding; Jaedong's 1 year period with EG is binding. |

Doesn't mean he's willing to put in the effort of trying to have an account made with his name using translators and middle men at Blizzard.

well i fear kespa teams will fall apart over time due to the bigger amounts of money foreign or MLG teams can provide. and that´s sad as i love kespa teams dearly. Furthermore i dislike EG's mentality of simply buying the best players available and not producing their own talents quite as much.

Really wish it could have been TL that picked him up, but I guess they've always gone for less known players and maybe couldn't afford him either. Anyway, if this is what it takes to see him more often in foreign tournaments, then I guess I should be happy.

Same here, I don't have to like a team that just buys every hyped player out there. I will root for JD but not in Proleague or any other team competition.

Hahaha, so true. But would be sad. I never liked Flash and I never liked EG. Always loved Liquid and always loved JD. This would all be so wrong, but funny.

I don't think that would necessarily happen. The KeSPA teams are normally backed by large corporate sponsors while a lot of the foreign teams don't have the monetary backing to sign those kinds of players. EG is capable of signing the biggest stars out there but even they can only spend so much and I can only see maybe 1 or 2 other foreign teams capable of getting players like a Flash or Bisu, fantasy, stork, etc. If anything I think that some of the Korean teams like IM have a better chance of getting a KeSPA player or two if they decide to leave then most of the foreign teams currently.
If I recall Flash had a contract with KT that was something along the lines of 3 years worth around $1 million? (Don't quote me because I could be wrong but I swore I heard it was something along those lines) while Stephano from when he signed with EG was said to have a contract worth around $8,000 a month. The KeSPA teams definitely have the money to keep players, I think that it's going to come down to what the players want because now Starcraft has evolved outside of Korea and holds many opportunities in the foreign scene.

These posts never cease to amaze me. We've got teams dropping like flies because all the moron's who thought they could make a quick buck of sc2 got burnt, and now your telling me that a financially sound organisation picking up fan favourites is bad?
