I am thinking about putting it up a splash screen or the background of the program. What do you think? Or it is too much for a small program like that?

Not need to attach it to a program. Just link it in 1st post


Also you should add information, that to get non-region voices (like Korean on EU), you must first switch server (from EU to KR) and then select KR, and only then it will download korean voice pack.

I guess the problem may arise when people try to start the game with content that is not yet downloaded. To download content you need to set the same region and language, for the first time, and then, after content downloaded you can set different region and language.

Ah it already works for all servers. Only for Russian separate server (they still have separate server!) where it's only available to have RU text

I want to have different sound files for different units, like Korean for stalkers, russian for marines and so on. I'm thinking it's not possible to do but might as well ask.
So is it possible to get different langagues for different units?
You need to construct additional pylons.

It's not possible. But you can change voice localization from time to time. Just download all them once and then switch voice assets with one click

Right now there is a check if you pick KR but don't have it (it locked in KR region and force you to hit relocalize or change to a different asset.

I am going to add a check to either the file integrity (MD5 checksum) or running SC2 updater process.

As I understand this it does not allow me to, with my one Starcraft II account, play on all the different servers but rather lets me play on all the different servers using 1 game and a lot of accounts. Is that it?
Sorry for taking up space in this thread with this question but I need my hope quenched or realized I won't be able to sleep tonight.

With relocalizer you can:

1) WIth ONE game client connect to any server. Just specify what server and region-language you want. You can play with all voice localizations, but for first time you must download that voice pack via patching system. So to do that you need to connect to that server, where voice pack is based, to start downloading that voice pack. When voice pack is downloaded, you can change back to your prefered region and play with downloaded voice packs.

2) Switch text localization for your server via Relocalizer. You can do that via variables.txt editing, but it's easier via Relocalizer, because takes 1-2 clicks And use any voice localization

3) Save some space on your hard drive with deleting uneeded game clients. Now you can have all voice packs in ONE game client. Everyone hail new streaming system

yes it lets you play on all servers with the accounts you have with one sc2 client.

Seems like the ping checker is not picking up the pings.

Is he constantly having this issue? or it is just periodic?

what server is your friend on? I can add a check to prevent it from glitching out. Changes should be in tonight, or tomorrow with the CN update.

Ok so this isn't ENTIRELY clear (I just read the whole thread)

If I have an account and client that are AM, and I relocalize to EU,
1. Am I locked into starter on EU?
2. Do I need to create an EU starter edition account before I can even connect?
3. Do I get to play ladder on EU for free, or do I need to buy an EU account?

1. Yes. Untill Global Play function comes. Or buy separate account for EU server, but with upcoming Global Play it's not really need
2. You can have a lot Starter Edition profiles on your account.
3. See 1st answer.

You can get all voices from EU and other servers, but not text localization

Because it's not considered as game profile. It's just free access to all regions and it's not need to create aditional account for starter editions. They're just DEMO version of SC2.

1) Relocalizer does not gives you free account on other server.
2) First option in Relocalizer is TEXT and server. Second option is voice asset.
3) In your region you can use only YOUR text localization, that is available to that region, but ANY voice asset.

That means, in Korea you can play ONLY with Korean text, but you can use here Espanol, English, Russian, Italian, French, etc voices. Later with Global Play you will be able to connect to all regions.

Also what about error. You're probably using text localization that is not allowed in your region. There are no way to use text localization in region, where it's not supported. Before 1.5.0 you were able to have it, because you swapped files. Now you can't

If you have a ptBR account, you are on NA server, you are playing with people using enUS, it is just that your client is not in English. Relocalizer can only change the voice asset to English at the moment. So your text will still be portuguese. Sorry for the confusion.

New Features/Bug Fixes:
1. Now when you change locale, it will change the asset to the corresponding asset first, I think that way it makes it safer just to double check you have the correct asset before you relocalize. If you guys think it is way too many clicks, let me know.
2. Fixed a bug where if there is no ping returned, the program will crash (thanks existor and his friend for sharing the information)

I'd like to say thanks for making this relocalizer. Now I can really switch easily between the server! Let me know if you're interested in free Terran coaching on the NA / EU Server. :-) I'm high masters on Europe.
