Maybe this question is already answered: but I just wonder how Khaldor and Wolf can still use a client with english text and sound for broadcasting the Korean WCS last night?! I mean, its apparently on the Korean server, so they should not be able to have english text there, right?! You can have korean sounds too.
But what about text localization, probably Blizzard have Global Play function for developers and casters of their tournaments

Is that it? Sorry for taking up space in this thread with this question but I need my hope quenched or realized I won't be able to sleep tonight. With relocalizer you can: 1) WIth ONE game client connect to any server. Just specify what server and region-language you want. You can play with all voice localizations, but for first time you must download that voice pack via patching system. So to do that you need to connect to that server, where voice pack is based, to start downloading that voice pack. When voice pack is downloaded, you can change back to your prefered region and play with downloaded voice packs. 2) Switch text localization for your server via Relocalizer. You can do that via variables.txt editing, but it's easier via Relocalizer, because takes 1-2 clicks And use any voice localization 3) Save some space on your hard drive with deleting uneeded game clients. Now you can have all voice packs in ONE game client. Everyone hail new streaming system
Wow, thanks! So I can play on NA or KR with this? sick.

Yeah I am on it. It is a bit tricky. I am trying to find a good toolset for the Mac version.

Does not change your account tho. Just the client. That means you still need to have accounts on both KR and NA.

v1.1.1 is up! Link: https://github.com/downloads/lhr0909/SC2Patch150Relocalizer/SimonsRelocalizer.v1.1.1.zip
New features: Fixed the issue where translating does not correctly store the setting value.
From now on I am going to put my concentration on a Mac version of the software. Windows side will be slowed down a bit, but hopefully not by much.
Someone asked me if I can store the logon email address for different locale, I thought about it, and feel like I should not do it because of security reasons. Don't wanna touch too much on that. It would be a neat feature to have tho.

Don't do it please. Don't do any connection to SC2.exe itself. Players don't change region their account every 5 minutes. It will make program a bit more complex and in result make it closer to "bad program", that can be considered by Blizzard as "account stealing program" (who knows them, how they can react to this Relocalizer)
Just stay with easy region changer, Mac version and voice asset changer.
The best is the enemy of the good (leave well alone). Stay with current simply version and don't make it more Keep it simple Relocalizer, and it will stay as 99% legit programm, that only swaps some files from other game clients and changes some lines in variables.txt
It's only my opinion. Of course you can update it with more and more features, but as I said, it's better to keep it simple Relocalizer, Nothing more.
Just concentrate it on Mac, as you said above, and probably optimize for XP/VIsta/Seven, if there will be some bugs.

Hi,
can you upload a screenshot, and get me the details of the error message?
I think I got the same from some other people, saying there is an error.
I would really love to have the full message of that bug.
Thank you so much!
Edit: could be a system privilege issue. Do you give your program full access to the SC2 folder? if you security settings are set so high that your Program Files are locked, you might need to give your program admin privilege in order to run properly.

Is it possible he's trying to relocalize after patching to 1.5.1?

hmm, you reinstalled SC2?
Have you tried the relocalizer since then? Do you have the same problem?
Just looked up online, and found that similar problem happened in Diablo III as well. Not sure if it is the problem of the relocalizer or the patch update of SC2. But if you want to, please try the relocalizer again and see if it breaks your SC2 again.
make sure to back up your SC2 installation folder so that if anything happens you won't have to re-install SC2.
Thank you for the information! Sorry if my program really did cause you to reinstall. But your info is so important to me!

I'm also getting the same unexpected file managent error after relocalizing form enUS to any other locale(I've tried enGB and deDE) If I switch back to enUS the launcher works fine though.

interesting. I will definitely look into that tonight and see if I can get it fixed.
I tried it this morning from enUS to enGB, it took a while for the launcher to load, but it did end up finishing and launching correctly (there is a new launcher before you play, wonder if that is the issue.)
Thanks for all the information.

It could be. I tried this morning from NA to EU, it seemed fine.
I will try to do 1.5.1 tonight and see if it works.
Crossing our fingers.

Ah crap i left it on US version when i quit playing yesterday. Now i have to wait till the 1.5.1 version is out. Great tool tough!
|
For those who are using the software on EU or other servers and get "An unexpected file management error has occured. Please try again." error message in the SC2 launcher:
Right now patch 1.5.1 is up in KR and US, so try not to relocalize to those servers until patch 1.5.1 hit EU.
If you did, your client is not broken, it is just stuck in 1.5.1 right now.
Truly sorry about the error.
In the future I will add a check or have some sort of protection mechanism in place so that it won't happen.

Guess i am stuck for a while
