Added, I haven't heard this from anyone else, though. On August 04 2012 00:55 GGzerG wrote: Is it just me, or can no one else see the GrandMasters league players? T_T What server are you on? I'm on EU and the GM listing seems to be working correctly for me. (Go BabyKnight!) I was playing around with this, and figure out that Ctrl+o is the shortcut (on a PC) for opening the friends list. I would guess that pigmanbear is experiencing a bug where the Ctrl key (or the Mac equivalent for that shortcut) is getting stuck. That happens to me sometimes in-game, and if I just tap the Ctrl, Alt and Shift keys a few times it seems to fix itself. Maybe try that?

I also found a German-language discussion of the same error for Diablo 3, in which a blue poster said that the error can be caused by the firewall blocking the program from accessing the Internet, or by IE being in offline mode (which makes no sense to me).

I have an i5-2500k and two 570s and prior to the patch I could run ultra with 100 fps ![]() Try this helped for me thanks to BelleNOiR "A repost of my solution to the problem from http://eu.battle.net/sc2/en/forum/topic/5058396145?page=4 "Possible fix to the lags. I am no expert but I think the problem is shader generation. Shaders are generated anew with every new version of the client. Try to follow these steps: 1. Delete the folder c:\Program Data\Blizzard Entertainment\Starcraft II. (Win 7/Vista users) 2. Start SCII and set everything on max (will ensure the most complex stuff gets rendered) 3. Find some sort of "UnitTestMap" in arcade and run it. 4. Create every unit and building of every race at least once. If you can, use every ability of every unit for every race at least once. This should (I hope) generate shaders files for those units/buildings/abilities and save them to HDD. (You should get minor client freeze every time you generate a unit for the first time, but not after that) 5. You can now revert the settings to low. 6. Play some open public games to see if this fixed the problem. It kinda fixed it for me. I no longer have laggs whenever something new appears in a match. Let me know pls if this works for you guys. Addendum: I firmly believe that the concept of this is utterly wrong. It requires the user to play games until every possible game element was rendered at least once, only then does the client become stable. The prettier the gfx, the more complex, the more problems this is going to cause in the future and for lower end users I cant imagine how this feels. Cant you programmers figure out a way pre-make the shaders files and have them streamed to the user on update? " After I did this, I no longer have huge FPS drops/freezes. Still minor lag here and there, but that is only miliseconds and I can micro once more! Let me know if this works for some of you." On August 04 2012 02:56 MrTortoise wrote: you are wrong and make no sense the streaming system is for people who want to play before they have downloaded all the content Also in the patch notes it says that it is more vigorous with preloading of textures etc this seems to contradict it ... so it seems like they havent reserved as much memory or something for new units so it slows down whilst allocating or soemthing ... i dunno ... but you are wrong. Its slower for me also ... but i am highest everything. My extra ao and aliasing settings cause a lot of slowdown now Not true , you stream data even if you finish download to 100% .

Because I've often had games that showed no point change immediately after I played, and the points were then shown a while later, this might just be that. If they're still not showing up for you, I'll add the bug. yeah, it still shows no points 15 hours later.

Its not entirely random. Its similar key binding to friends list in d3. Quite frustrating tho. 9/10 i have to type "0" instead of "o"

It happens literally every game. Can't upload a replay now I'll try later when I'm home. But seriously every protoss on here can test it. Someone leaves go to his base and kill pylons. All his buildings will look powered. Killing pylons when both players are active DOES power down buildings. Have not tried this in 2v2 or other games.
