This thread is for bugs in the latest patch.
This thread is not for:
- Balance discussing. - Debating whether Blizzard is the devil or not. - Discussing how Blizzard is ruining e-Sports. - etc |
Bug (present since the beta, but figure if OP lists it Blizzard might finally fix it):
The "Morph Baneling" command cannot be shift queued. It will override all other buttons/commands.
This is something that used to work in the first few months of the beta, but suddenly stopped working for some inexplicable reason.
By contrast, all other morph commands and abilities can be shift queued after a move command. But not the morphing of banelings...

I can't even start StarCraft II anymore on OS X-- it just immediately stops responding. When I force quit, I get this error. Other people are reporting workarounds but they're not working for me. I still have Windows on my gaming machine at home but I like playing 2v2s on OS X at the office!

The game is also reporting my league incorrectly-- funnily enough in TWO different ways. I'm 1v1 Diamond, but in my in-game profile, I am listed as 1v1 Masters, but in my web profile, I'm listed as 1v1 Platinum!

Is it a bug that when you click enemy gas you see 0 workers count even when there are people in it.

That is normal, it only works for your own workers

It almost sounds like Blizzard was the victim of a cyber attack that scrambled their database.... I'm sure if that was true they WOULDN"T DARE tell us about it
I think i'll wait another week, or year to patch... HotS will be out by then, no?

On second thought I'm going to take R1CHs warning more seriously

Since the patch my hellions don't burn zerglings properly, that is the burning death animation for zerglings doesn't play when it should. Other burning deaths, for example infestors, do play properly. I've had a look around the options menu and can't see anything obvious to fix it, e.g. made sure the 'reduced violence' option is not enabled. Anyone else have this problem or a fix?

For me, replays from the previous patch sometimes randomly freeze for some seconds, and loading time is way longer.
|
I was able to upgrade Flux Vanes
|
I also got something that said "the folder you selected cannot be used. Please select a different folder," after patching and allowing changes to my game, SC2 is on a separate hard disk from my OS, will that make any difference?

Could you please check again now and let me know if it still shows no points? Because I've often had games that showed no point change immediately after I played, and the points were then shown a while later, this might just be that. If they're still not showing up for you, I'll add the bug.

I hate to disappoint the great and excellent LaLuSh, and I think the shift-queue thing for Banelings is bullshit, but I'm trying to keep this to just stuff that's shown up since 1.5 was patched.

I've been investigating on performance problem. First : there is no performance difference between ultra and lowest settings.
Second : I checked CPU and GPU load and temp to find the bottleneck To make fast : it seem to me that the game only runs one one cpu core.
Here are two screenshots (out of process explorer) of the Sc2 process.
When the timeline start, I am on windows, and the replay is paused just before a huge battle in 4V4, with ultra graphics. The first peak is due to switching back into sc2. Then I let the game in pause during the flat part following the peak.
Here is the CPU + Show Spoiler +
And Here is the GPU + Show Spoiler + We can see that neither the CPU nor the GPU and neither memory are saturated or overloaded.
But the odd point is that the CPU load is exactely 25 %. My processor is a core2 quad q6600.
So it seems to me that the game is executed only one thread at a time, and my processor is not powerfull enough to run the game on one core.
Can you run the same tests ?
Concerning big freezes : I noticed that they happen just before playing a sound. I ran MS defrag, and it was much better : shorter freezes, faster interface (login, switch screens).
I also noticed that the first game load is faster than in 1.4.
The point is that all dying sound happen in the first battle, so each time there is a new unit in a battle, I get a lag.
I would like to post this on the US battle.net forum, but I cannot, since I am on the EU battle.net. If you think this repport worth it, feel free to link (or even cut/paste it) on US battle.net forum.

I have found another issue:
When I am runing the chrome browser and watching streams in parallel (such as ASUS Rog) on my 2nd monitor and also have a chat-client running which needs Java support, my CPU suddenly begins to spike at 100% every 2 seconds. The system practically freezes and SC2 is frozen as well.
When I shutdown Chrome SC2 is running fine - I have no issues at all. When I run chrome with streams + chat everything is fine as well. Only in combination my system begins to go crazy. This is IMO a result of Patch 1.5 as well.
I am running a 3.00 GHz iCore 7 and 8gigs of Ram with a 460GTX - 64bit Windows Home 7 Premium. Anyone who can reproduce this?

I mean i have two SC servers NA and KR since the new patch i'm not able to play in KR its says that i need a permission language packed from blizzard... Multiple installations are not officially supported so keep that in mind, what has happened in patch 1.5 is that the game writes out which localization files it's expecting in your user-wide starcraft 2 variables.txt located in the My Documents > Starcraft 2 folder in the form of: localeidassets=enUS localeiddata=enUS If you want to play on KR, you'd need to change that to one of these depending on which license you have: Korea: koKR Taiwan: zhTW As mentioned over here: http://us.battle.net/support/en/article/starcraft-ii-language-issuesGood luck! They're hopefully adding proper region switching in time for HotS like the Diablo 3 client has, but until then you'll have to mess around with that user-wide setting each time you want to swap servers, having 2 clients is no longer sufficient.
you can also copy+paste your C:/users/usernamex/Documents/StarCraft II folder out somewhere else then patch fully then restart and copy paste back

You're saying that you get no performance increase by switching to lowest settings at all? I don't think anyone has reported that so far (it's certainly not my experience, my performance ranges from about 130 fps to about 15 depending on my settings).
Is anyone else experiencing something like this?
Edit: Also, could you add an explanation of how to display the process-specific CPU and GPU data? I'm not actually sure how to do that on Windows 7.
