Hmm well all I have done so far is patched, which in itself took forever! However, I then looked at stuff like Ui etc, and really liked the appearance. On the other hand, it did change settings back to Ultra, so had to change that to low once again. But haven't actually played any games since the patch came in, might do that later. But yeah, I actually thought I liked the menu interface more than before, but to each their own.

Blizzard needs to revert this patch posthaste and save their ideas for HOTS. They are going to lose many players with lower-end hardware, as well as anybody who finds the game unplayable in all but Low graphics settings.

Usually don't play on patchday (well for Blizzard it takes a bit more then a day to fix patch day). But reading the posts on tl, i want to really log in now and play against people with a bad computer that haven't setup their graphics again and rather post about it instead of going into the options menu. But it seems the changes affect some computers more then others in points of performance.

Wow people really meta-ing the whine. They feel like they are cool if they accept the changes as nice because in that way they wont be in the hate change bandwagon. NO it's just a purposeless change which only makes the game worse and more buggy.

To all those who complain about the increased amount of clicks to get into ladder/custom:

Guys, the F-buttons will get you from the Home screen to ladder/custom/etc. instantly.

If you log n and want to ladder, click F2 for example, F5 for custom games.

I hope i saved you tons of seconds with this post.

after a first glance:

why the hell is my client now german? what is this? i chose english for a reason... but for the rest of it... the concept of this new gui must be written by the same trainee which made the gui concept for d3 ah.

call me picky, but...

- why is the loginarea now closer to the bottom? before it was perfect placed in my regular view area on the screen...
- why do i have to make three clicks instead of two in order to start a laddergame?
- why are the less important buttons placed on the right? 4v4 to 1v1 from left to right. this is stupid. custom games and ladder games in bottom right. campaign and scenarios in the top left. my eyes scan the screen from top left to bottom right, as everyones in the western culture...

and why is the hell is the homescreen blank?!? so much space wasted for fast 1-click-access to the most common parts of the sc2-client...

new look is okay in general, but was nothing what had to be changed...

Instead two clicks you can do now ONE click - F2 or rebind it to any hotkey

because logo is bigger now and it's similar to Diablo 3 now, where you have login window at the bottom part of screen

uuuuugh i'm running on lowest graphics and my opponent warped in 2 zealots and my screen lagged. idk wtf is going on, i normally run on ultra but after patch 1.5 suddenly my comp can't handle worth shit.

im stuck at the login screen for 5 minutes now, tells me that it's initializing data @ about 1/6

EDIT: i checked out my task manager , it tells me that my CPU is running at 94 % (i5 2500k),

Don't like the graphics changes, had them low for a reason before. Don't like this new fog of war or the view profile changes, so much more effort to check simple things. The gui is nicer to look at but at the cost of everything else i don't think it was worth it.

Childish? I guess you prefer the classic mode over Windows Aero (if using Win7). Why not improve responsiveness, if that's what you think was the problem?

"Versus AI" "Challenges" "Cooperative" simply don't need to be there. It should be under custom games.

Unintuitive cluttered UI is as guilty as charged.

WC3TFT had better UI than this one.
