I know it just came out on SEA and we are all trying to get use to it, but my first view on this is.

1- It looks uglier than before.

2- When i played a 1v1 the map looked weird and when i was playing everything just felt different.

I like the quick match section they have really sorted that out well but for everything else it feels weird and sort of like they have done a downgrade to the entire game. I know "it just came out give it time" but this is just my opinion FOR NOW.

I really liked it, I thought it was sleeker and way more organised than before. It just feels right to me.

Is there an option to create 1x1 custom games with spectators like Wacraft 3?

The interface is more desktop and less console which is nice. The layout of the GUI is strange initially but actually mostly makes sense at least for my usage. Some of the ideas like the customisable menu shortcuts and bookmarking I'll probably never use but I can imagine someone might.

Don't really like how it seems to have messed with my mouse and video settings, I still have glimmery creep for some reason and the minimap is darker than it used to be. Presumably I need to play with the settings but it would have been nice if it was just left alone.

But they are quibbles. Overall it's no worse, minimally; and probably actually somewhat better. imo

Also, I note the OSX version seems to use more CPU and it definitely runs hotter. May be an issue for laptop play.

Did anyone else notice that it now takes 3 clicks to start queuing for a ladder 1v1, as opposed to 2 clicks before? Maybe it's a minor quibble, but- No, it's not, it's dumb and I don't like it.

Re clicks I think you can just use the F2 (from memory?) shortcut to go to quick match? Haven't played enough with it yet.

I don't think so. I don't even know why they didn't implement that right from the beginning. That was one of the most played thing in Warcraft 3... let's remove it! Blizzard logic.

Awww shit the patch is a fail, can't believe this. You should sue Blizzard and ask them to buy you another mouse as this is clearly broken.

I don't really care about what the game UI looks like but the new improvement with the graphics helps with seeing cloaked units on lowest settings better than it did last time which is good.

I actually really like the new look. The creep on the map is the only real difference I've noticed when playing, and none of it's really affected my play at all. Used that arcade, too, and it's hard for me to say whether it's a positive or negative difference just yet. Guess I'll give it more time.

You can also customize these quiet quickly, to get like your ladder, quick match, replays etc. on hotkeys, really sick feature.

I haven't played on 1.5 yet as it comes out tomorrow in eu, but I played a lot of the beta and imo it feels soooo much better.

This update is fuckin annoying, taken me 2 hours so far still don't have it.

E: Closing the downloader and trying to reopen it from a shortcut on my desktop, start menu or taskbar would not work. If anyone has the same problem I had to reopen it from the exe in the install folder.

I tried in beta, and it looks like things are still like they were pre-patch. You can do it, but you have to host, invite the players, and then right click on them and make them spectators by hand. I'm not sure if the patch made it any easier to host a "public" spectator game or not. If they did, that would be cool.

You just add someone from your friends list and they can spectate. Always could lol. Just cause it isn't spoonfed in front of you doesn't mean it isn't there
