That is an impressive cool down and a huge amount of energy. Plus I am sure Protoss have had a unit like this before, somewhere....

Not sure how I feel about the Widow Mine. While I can see its advantages in lower leagues if Blizzard is designing it so that pros can easily avoid the splash (AND if they decide to add FF -.- ) then it just hurts the terran and won't be used. Either the pro kills the infected unit (terran would have to get lucky to hit an expensive unit vs. a zealot/zergling/etc) , pro sends the unit to cause FF dmg to the terran (melee unit) or they just micro that unit away.

Seems too easily dealt with. I suggest blizzard make the timer short enough that if you don't have very very good micro then you're going to get hit by some AoE.

I personally don't like it very much. It makes it a LOT easier to know when to transfer workers to a new base, but on the other hand that's exactly what a skilled player should check all the time, spent some APM on it etc, It makes quite a difference if your saturation is perfect or your base is over/under saturated. Now EVERYONE would have a perfect saturation in every base.

No box workers=no skill.

But seriously, something completely missed in SC2 over BW was you physically could not do everything at once. There was so much happening that you had to balance your choices into your strategy. That's strategic depth. Simplification is not impressive. I'm sure a lot more players will get out of platinum because of it but the easier you make a game, the less interesting it is to watch.

I'm guessing this particular change will have about 0 effect on pro-games. Really minor change that won't change anything about strategic depth at all. I don't think this will make the game any easier on the higher levels at all.

Just watched the PvZ battle report.

- That tempest range looks completely retarded.
- Oracles seem pretty troll
- Mothership needing its own building is a bit weird.
- Hydras aren't stupidly slow anymore

I can see some things already that won't make it to the final release. Overall not very impressed with it so far. I will save further judgement though until HotS beta is open to the public.

These new changes make siege tanks even more useless in HotS especially against Protoss. Tanks were already bad and now with that Tempest they are worthless as soon as those things pop out and starting raping them from 22 range rofl.
