You don't have to make full tempest, tempest just negate all tank, all defensiv position, what the heck.

Not to mention they can hit air, unburrow and redeploy, be dropped from medivacs, don't require any research...

Mothership Core and Oracle. For the mothership core: 2 abilitys are very dangerous for Bioplay: Energy remax (i won't even mention Hight templars...) and Recall, no need to go further in explanations for this. =) For the Oracle: this Horrible IMBA thing (Love it, really, can't understand the toss who won't use them in EVERY game! I'll be sad not seeing them in my TvP...) have 2 abilitys to deny our macro mechanic. First: Stop mining = MMM is mineral heavy, and can't use his gas after 2.5/3 bases. Using defensive units in combination with our own harassing units is not a good thing when you play with papermade army. If not, we'll have less minerals. Second: Cloack: Forces Scan or Raven. Raven kill the mobility of MMM, so; his only advantage right now. And scan, it kills potential mineral bank. Combination of theses two units make resplenish bioarmy more harder: we'll need to use our gas, and now that Reapers won't fit into a standard MMM combination (No speed, Self healing, and i think damage reduced against Light.? See tvz video.). We'll need another way. As a current mech player in TvP, honestly i'll be glad of all changements we'll have. Current added units may be really cool for metagame and dynamic. Altrough i'm very disappointed of no microable units, no shredder (make it a building like Zerg spines = no drop in menral lines) and the skins of widow mines and warhound. Aniway, one thing to note is the RANGE 13 of the mothership core canons, like Tanks ! I bet it'll be a really good defense against 1/1/1, so: Bli² will not need to keep Tank in it's current state, especially seeing all theses tank-killa they added in the game. Probably the old 70 damages will take a come back in HoTS. don't fear the mineral block of the oracle really, ranged turrets deal quiet well with them :x . Energy remax will probably get a range and become purely defensive, because of the danger of ht energy remax (to strong and i doubt they nerf storm more). Recall and teleport take up all the energy of the core, so not something that helps against bio to much. (As our deathball likes to split up ^.^) Bio will still be viable, especially with the widow mines. Widow mines kill zealots quiet supply effective and they are mobile like bio and you can't kill around 60% of your zealots being hooked on or micro them away in 10 seconds. Charge without autocast will be deadly for parts of the bio though, but the explosion radius was really tiny compared to banelings and terrans can split well. About the toss tank killers i think they will be pdd able and not be an exception like broodlords. And Warhounds missiles do really well against immortal shields, so they won't be able to snipe your tanks, while hellions play tanks. The hellions got a tiny bit better at tanking too, they still die to aoes especially since they are slower, but they have more hp and clump less when a moved. I really hope though they will make hellions come out of the factory unlike the battle report or allow the player to choose, since hellions have to get fast to the battle again and not walk there like landet vikings. So Bio will still work as horrible as it does now, maybe a bit better. But mech will be slightly improved from abysmal to horrible. As long as terran stays the hardest to play race since sc1, I am all for it.

Ravens PDD might make a comeback since Hydras are making a comeback. The science vessel would be so much more viable though. Defense turrets are so gimmicky. Hunter Seeker Missle? I think the widow mine just took its spot.

Tempest will be a zoning unit to deal with the mech army. Otherwise, the mech army would be way stronger than it already is (more mobile too, and much less worrying about not sieging up in time). Get vikings to deal with tempest. Hard part I think would be balancing maps so that tempests have spots they can be used in but also make sure those spots aren't imba. Terran needs to be able to take out the tempests with viking/BC and protoss needs to be able to defend with storm/feedback etc. So there will be a lot of re-positioning. I think it'll be epic.

I mean they have to showcase Mech against a protoss and it has to look atleast a bit not scripted. Guess the overall units make a few problems. Oracle in its full glory probably, Tempest range and if the shot is blockable by pdd or not, with this attack speed a pdd would negate alot of tempest shots. 200 widow mines can kill a toss army cost effective and you still have atleast 100 left. (observers excluded) They leap pretty far, so only a few units could reach them without a suicide. And i guess storm still does pretty well against the slightly improved mech especially if one ht has 8 storms with core support. So a few reasons why we won't see a pvt report, but i could be wrong and they showcase it as the cherry on top heh.

I imagine they just pick and choose good games from their internal test matches and shoutcast the replays. I would assume that they could find at least *one* good TvP, but who knows.
