Leagues may be getting harder, but nobody sub diamond has any idea what they're doing. If you copy builds from professional replays and play 20 games vs the ai just practicing executing it in each matchup you will become instant diamond. This used to be the case with masters I would say earlier on, now diamond=actually knows how to do builds and can consistently replicate them, masters=knows the builds, is good/fair at executing them. | ||

Even masters players sometimes have no idea what to do past 8 minutes in the game, but that's much more rare. | ||

I know what to do, with respect to builds and midgame goals/timings to an extent, but I just suck at doing it when compared to them. I've got crappy mechanics compared to a salaried pro, but I attempt to emulate their builds and their play as much as I physically can. I don't open 1 hatch roach or 1 hatch muta like I see diamond players do. | ||

The sub diamond/masters crowd are rarely able to do this simple thing and do all sorts of random/nonsensical "builds". | ||

If you make some investigations, you can even notice I finished season 5 with random in high master. Also note that I haven't played for about a week since my new computer is broken, I probably accumulated about 50 bonus bool in addition to that. | ||
